La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham North Platte

The breakfast is good but the sausages are tasteless. The hotel needs some tender, loving care as there are plenty of scratches, etc on the woodwork and doors stick. The staff was friendly and kind. Hot tub is broken.

Decaf was made upon request. Sausage cold. Microwave in a weird place--in a closed cupboard, under the counter where everyone is filling their plates. I saw people on balancing their plates, bending down to knee level to read and push the buttons. Meanwhile, others are trying to get to the counter and not trip over the people bent over trying to use the microwave.

Nice hotel that is very pet friendly. If you don’t mind dogs barking throughout the night.

Clean, friendly and convenient Nothing

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and parking was easy.

It is a crowded breakfast area and there was a dog right next to our legs. The owners were feeding it sausages from their plates. There were dogs in the elevators. It seemed like the hotel is more accommodating to the pets than the people. Other brands of hotels that accept dogs have had some rooms that were pet-free and we haven't had these issues. We have learned to never again stay in a LaQuinta branded hotel. We couldn't get out of there fast enough this morning to get away from the smells.

Our room smelled awful when we first walked into it, but thank goodness the window could be opened so we had it open for three hours and the front office gave us Lysol to spray around it. It just smelled damp like dirty, wet laundry the spa had tons of bubbles, which was not nice. The room was supplied with only decaf coffee and the alarm went off at 6 AM in the morning.
