Super nice welcome with water and warm cookies! Clean room with comfy bed.

My check in was great. The front desk person who checked me in was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the floor I was on was quiet as there were several groups there having celebrations.

Was very pleased with our room, clean, nice view and comfortable, had a great night sleep as well, things that could up this experience is an extra chair or something so 2 ppl can comfortably sit to eat or work, enjoyed our stay.

Booked 2 suites and did not get access to the second one until almost 2 hours after check in time. I was told by staff they would call our first room with an update "in 5 to 10 minutes" and got nothing. After waiting nearly 2 hours for the call, we went down to the lobby to find out the room was ready and we just were not notified. The woman at the desk looked at me like we were insane for even trying to check in at 4:30 when check in is at 4. There were busted pieces of wall in the hallway on our floor, and the lobby bathroom was a disgusting mess and had clearly not been attended to. If you are looking for a hotel in the area, go elsewhere.

My room was 77 degrees in the middle of summer while Chicago was experiencing a heat wave it was miserable I have health issues and did not sleep or rest it was the worst experience ever I want a refund

I will more than likely not be back. I paid in advance through Expedia on a king room but when I got there they gave me a double. Telling me they did not have anymore king beds, at the time of check-in but telling my friends a different story and giving them vouchers for breakfast but I did not get any sort of voucher for their, bar, breakfast or dinner. The door to the room was very difficult to open and close. It did not close properly and needed extra force to close. It also needed a lot of extra force to open.

There was a big gap under the door that let in a lot of light. Did not like the automatic light that turned on every time you went near the bathroom. Was pretty noisey. Didnt sleep well do to noise and light.

This hotel was a huge disappointment for a Doubletree.

the air didnt work for 2 days

air conditioning was not working in the hotel. Was told it would be fixed and never was. Apparently the staff was telling people for three days it would be fixed and it never was. My room was 86 degrees and cooled down to 80!

The A/C didn't work in the original room. The room was switched to one with NO RUNNING WATER. Not the best to say the least.

No AC. Room stayed at 80 degrees. Had to ask for towels everyday . Bed wasn’t made Saturday. Terrible experience. Never coming back. Also NO POOL “closed off for the week”. Like whatttttt!!!???

Location Stayed here for 5 years now. Usually great. Other recent negative reviews are correct. Common areas not kept clean. My room had a dirty torn chair. AC did not work, was not fixed even after I complained to staff. Wallpaper ripped in areas. One bed in my room broke as soon as I laid down. Housekeeping staff did not speak English so couldn't even communicate with them. The whole place needs new management and a remodel. Will not stay here again.
