I chose this hotel to attend an event in Gainesville. I had a pleasant stay in a spacious room at a good price. The breakfast was good.

I did ask for a room not on the first floor...told sold out and could not accommodate. Told windows were screwed shut, but screws were there hanging loose. Room smelled old and musty. Bathroom was musty due to leaking shower faucet. Mold and items left behind in bathroom. Rug in room was stained and somewhat dirty. Checked for bed bugs - none visible thank goodness. Breakfast was not good - the food looked okay, but was very low quality. The omelet used cheap cheese, the waffles were doughy, the morning potatoes were tasteless, soggy, horrible. Very unpleasant experience and will not stay here again. The location was good and close to interstate. I did forget a toiletry item and they were able to provide. The price per night was higher than my booking.com price and completely too high for what this place is. It was jacked up due to a home football game for the University of Florida.

The hotel website states multiple times that parking is free. When I checked-in, I was charged a higher price than the price I was quoted when I made my reservation. The staff member told me that the extra amount was for a parking fee that they began charging months ago. I said that website clearly says parking is free and she said they haven’t updated the website yet. It takes a few minutes to update a website. This is pure dishonesty. When I needed to check-out, there was no one working at the desk. There is no management whatsoever in this hotel.

Fairly clean and nice staff. Fitness center didn't have much. The tv inside the fitness center didn't work. But most of all our access cards kept needed reactivating every day of our stay even though we kept them away from electronics . This was most annoying and should be addressed.

Location is great, this is our family’s second time staying. Staff was very friendly , love the horse theme! It was a quiet, clean with decent prices. The pool looked like it needed to be a little more cleaned

Lobby smelled musty. Bathroom vanity light didn’t work, bathroom vent fan loud and squeaky when turned on, bathroom vent fan very dusty/not clean, bathroom vanity mirror frame chipped, stains on carpet. The hotel needs attention to detail.
