Castle in the Sand

Hotel was clean, nothing special about it. The only thing that I liked was the convenience of the beach directly outside.

While the location of the hotel is fantastic and its proximity to the beach is excellent, I noticed that the property seems quite old. Specifically, the rooms are in need of more maintenance and updating to improve the guest experience.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, food is consistently good. We enjoy hanging at the outside venue, with a wonderful staff and live music. This place has been a staple in OC, the only complainant would be that the bathroom in our room could use an update.

Our room was on the fourth floor facing the beach, so we did not have a balcony, but a full window. It was a beautiful view. The bed was comfy, the location was in walking distance to everything we nee

Poorly maintained rooms. Elevator was extremely slow and very hot inside of it. Leaning from above the window into the room.

We loved it, already booked another stay for August 2026.

I loved the cottage it was very and spacious. The beach was literally right up the street the staff was very helpful and nice. I plan on staying again in the future

amenity is good, but we did not have time to enjoy them. easy to walk to the boardwalk, and beach access, inexpensive breakfast, it's an ok restaurant . talked with the front desk staff to change room, on second day for a similiar room type with half of the price, they refused to do so, and told me to reserve directly with the hotel next time to be able to change the room. After the third party talked with the front desk staff, front desk staff told me I could change the room, but wont be able to get the refund of the price difference.

Clean rooms, beautiful property, the cleaning staff was amazing and extremely nice and helpful. Some of the other staff that was at the resturant and while checking in we're not very nice. So I would say 50/50 for the service. I love that they have activities for the kids and the girls were so nice.

Exceptionally clean and a beautiful place on the beach. Music and restaurant at the hotel was really nice. Staff very kind.

Castle in the Sand really exceeded my expectation! From the proximity to the beach, which was just a few feet walking distance from the building. Matt was amazing at check-in. He was very accommodating and so was every stuff that we ran into overall castle in the sand had its own vibe. I love it and it will be my home every time we come to Ocean City. Nothing really it was an amazing value for its price! Very clean! I wouldn’t hurt to upgrade some in unit features to be modern but again for the price it was absolutely phenomenal

Within 100 yards of beach but no direct view. The room was spacious and a bargain. I would have liked the cabin to be with a view of the beach, but I understand if it's limited.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The view of the beach was amazing. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Great pool, live music, staff. Parking was easy in the lot. Great view in ocean view room without balcony. Good ac. Musty smell when it was off. Love the fact that we could get umbrella MUCH cheaper than other stands. Biggest complaint was the abysmal Wi-Fi. Absolutely horrendous. My son sat in the bathroom to use his Wi-Fi because that is where the signal was the “best”.

Me and my family only stayed one night, but the hotel was just what we needed for our beach day.

We loved the pool. Coconuts is a great bar/restaurant with fun entertainment. The beach being so close was the best. The staff were all very friendly. I wish handicapped travelers could be guaranteed a close spot to their room.

Easy to park. Staff were very friendly. Place is right on a beautiful beach. So many things close by or within a quick drive. Fridge, stove, microwave, cups, cutlery and plates were available. Having to leave. Wifi was slow.
