The location was perfect!! Sitting on the balcony with the city view was noisy because of the traffic … I would def go oceanfront next time!

The room was filthy, with stains on the bath towels and bed sheets. We had 6 guests 3 adults and 3 children and when I asked for extra towels, the staff was rude and told me there should only be 3 people to a room. When I made the reservation, I specifically selected 6 guests, so this was frustrating. During our stay, my husband got locked in the bathroom, and the safe stopped working. We needed maintenance multiple times. I will say that the maintenance staff were wonderful, kind, and worked as quickly as they could to resolve the issues. The front desk staff were fair, and there was one young woman working in the breakfast area who deserves a special shout-out. She was absolutely wonderful and brightened everyone’s day. Unfortunately, the pools were also dirty, and we were constantly waiting for pool towels. I honestly expected much more from a Hyatt. Between the cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, towel situation, and pool conditions, this stay did not meet the standard I expected for the price or the brand.

Property was very clean and well maintained. Rooms were beautiful. Our kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool options and easy access to the beach.

Although the name of this hotel is "Oceanfront," they also own a second building which is one block away from the ocean. Unfortunately, even though we thought we would be staying in a hotel right on the oceanfront, we did NOT. Despite paying more for this hotel, due to thinking they were actually on the oceanfront, we got scammed! Not only that, but all the parking spaces in both of their buildings were full, so we had to park an additional block away from our building. Although we didn't ask for it, we ended up getting room for the disabled. The problem with that is that the shower was on the same level as the floor so that a disabled person in a wheelchair could roll right into the shower. That would have been great if either one of us was disabled and were in a wheelchair. However, all that did for us was it caused the entire bathroom floor to be flooded every time one of us took a shower. Even though there was a drain in the shower and another one in the middle of the bathroom, the water puddled over around the toilet and didn't drain properly, which made a real mess. We do NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

Love the location to the boardwalk shops and restaurants. The hotel has a great sitting area with a bar and comfortable chairs & tables good for working. We’ve tried over a dozen hotels in OC and this is our go-to.

Exceptional

We called for early check in and they told us between 2-3pm. We arrived and sat in the lobby for quite a while to end up with a “partial ocean view” when we originally booked for ocean view. After being overwhelmed on the beach with the sun we attempted to use the indoor pool and it was not very clean. When we went to get out there wasn’t one towel, I asked the front desk who advised me to check the outdoor pool area and there wasn’t any there either so we walked up to our room soaking wet. Just disappointed in the experience.

It was very good , the kids loved it.
