Commander Beach House Hotel

It was cheap and close so it was perfect for Oceans Calling

Despite what their web page says, most of their rooms are pet friendly. Not good for someone with pet allergies.

This place was close to beach and the boardwalk. Indoor and outdoor pools. Very nice place to stay

Everything was nice and the location was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly The room could have been a little cleaner there were used towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door from the people before and the refrigerator/freezer wasn't very clean

The staff was welcoming, the location was great, the ease of travel in Ocean city was pretty good. New traveller's to OC, staff was not helpful to describe amenities that may have been available, so we didn't use any. The room was a disappointment. We stayed at the outer bldg, We expected ocean front. The outer bldg. was VERY NOISY, thin walls, folks coming and going ALL night, we got to hear EVERYTHING. and I mean EVERYTHING. Very horrible sleeping experience. The room was barebones. You were on your own to operate the TV. OC doesn't come alive until dark, so we missed alot.

Clean, great parking although we were not aware we would be charged and were told a different amount verbally, then charged us double. Each morning a fire alarm WOKE us up. NOT the sound you want to hear when you are trying to escape an alarm and relax on vacation. Disappointed! On the morning of check out, I was getting ready and a staff member walked in my room without knocking at around 9am.. oh my! Are you kidding me?! So lots of good, but a few things we aren't sure we can overlook..

There were some issues but the manager made it right, very quickly.

Stayed during bike week. Nice older place. Clean. AC worked. TV worked. Shower worked with plenty of hot water. Refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked. Ice and vending machines worked. Close to the boardwalk and beach. Staff was polite and helpful. Just didn't like waiting until 4 pm for housekeeping service.

Tiny room but decent enough. Air conditioner got very noisy but did work. Pool was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room serviced each day. Some of the clientel stayed on the porch smoking weed everyday without being redirected away from entrance. Was very close to the boardwalk and beach very convenient location. All in all would stay again.

Beware that this property does not have an elevator. If you get the three bedroom apartment it's on the 4th floor. The apartment was very loud. There was no cable only Roku access. All the TVs kept buffering so you could not watch anything for very long. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Although the apartment had air conditioning two of the bedrooms had window units. This used to be our favorite go to hotel last year. This is our second time staying here this season and both times were nothing but problems. The main Hotel only has The View and balconies going for it. This is now been removed from my go-to list.

The staff was very helpful and provided an early check in. The room was clean and centrally located in downtown Ocean City. Place good for family that wants to be near all the action on the boards!! There was however a problem with the water in the room. Hopefully, just an isolated incident.

The shower was not working in our room. But over all it was good.
