SeaLoft Oceanfront Hotel

SeaLoft is a good hotel right on the beach for a reasonable price point. Our room was not pristine (the shower and bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly) and our air conditioner was not working, so we had to spend one night very warm until the maintenance gentleman replaced the ac unit in the morning. There was also a long period of time where we confirmed no one was at the front desk after calling with no answer for about 20 minutes and then going down to try and speak with someone. We would still stay here again because the location and overall quality is good, and the cleanliness of the rest of the room and the bed was fine. Access to the beach is super convenient and being able to get chairs and an umbrella set up for us for $20 was excellent. We would stay again and we would recommend this hotel to others, but it would be nice to see greater detail put towards their room cleanings.

This hotel has been a favorite for the last two summers. When it was renovated an awesome property … now the service isn’t great, the building is showing wear and tear and much of the boutique feel is gone. It was an AMAZING place that is simply ok now. I was a bit disappointed in our last stay.

The hotels are so clean and the best beach view and the staff are amazing . But the parking - I had to pay for it . I have handicap and it suppose to be free. I am also deaf . I did put listening device on the reservation and the Hotel app did not inform them.

The property was OK . Very overpriced.

Nice area to shower off after coming off beach. Decent coffee in lobby 24-7. Pool was nice to dip in with clean bathrooms outside too. Will def come again

This place was great for the location! It worked great for our needs! Staff never came to clean our room, which I was fine with. When we would ask for more towels or anything we needed, they would get them and bring them to our room right away. The fridge was bigger than I expected and overall I would stay here again. It was perfect for an ocean vaca!

Amazing location and rooms are newer and nice. Downside - ZERO towel/linen service in 4 days. Dogs barking all night and day as soon as their owners leave the room.

The rooms were nice, the location was great, they provided umbrellas for the beach, 2 outdoor toilets near the pool, we probably found the only place in OC where we would stay again!

Great hotel for a short stay! My family of 6 enjoyed the close proximity to the beach! The room was nice and clean , staff helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

REAL nice beach view!

We had two major issues. First, the internet and cell service is horrible. We could only use our phones on our balcony and none of the wifi services on the TV worked. Secondly, I complained 3 times about our neighbor constantly smoking on their balcony and I was brushed off and insulted. They make you sign a document when you sign in about consequences if you smoke in your room. I confirmed with the staff that smoking on your balcony wasn't allowed after my first complaint was ignored. After my third complaint, I overheard the manager referring to me as a snitch and I was asked to take a picture of the neighbor smoking as proof. Because of the smoking situation, we felt we weren't able to use our experience we paid for to the fullest. We have two small kids and I also didn't want to expose them to second hand smoke. The smoke would even occasionally come through our air conditioner into the bedroom. Plus since we had to avoid our balcony we basically had no internet access as I mentioned before. I would steer clear of this hotel if you want to ensure you have a good experience.

Unfortunately, as our stay progressed, we became disappointed with the housekeeping situation. We realized after a couple of days that our room was not being serviced. We requested some very basic cleaning, specifically fresh towels and having our floor swept, and were told the hotel was short-staffed but that they would try to send someone. Nothing was done. We asked two more times during our stay, and while fresh towels were eventually brought to our room, no cleaning ever occurred. Ultimately, I ended up finding a broom and sweeping our room myself, as well as taking out our own trash and laundry. I chose not to continue pressing the issue because I felt the response would continue to be that they were short-staffed. Overall, the hotel itself was mostly quiet, the location is excellent, and the property has a lot of charm. However, I think it is important that guests are clearly informed at check-in if daily room service or basic housekeeping services will not be provided during their stay. Better communication about expectations would have made a significant difference in our experience.

Beach view was great. Staff didn't know what was going on but very nice. They were short staffed and it showed. Rooms are updated but nothing special. Great and easy beach location.
