The Hotel Oceanside

Overall room was clean bed comfy but not what the pictures make it look like.

Our first room had a broken air conditioner and a broken tv cord. Our second room had a broken microwave and cooktop. The bathroom was in rough shape. Way too expensive for what it was.

We stayed 4 nights. The beds were comfortable and we slept so good, housekeeping was great about new towels and tp restock. There is a washer and dryer on each floor. Needed a few dollars in quarters but so helpful when you are going to beach. Parking was convenient and its such a great location to easily hop on and off from I-5. Would absolutely stay again.

We will definitely be back for future stays.

The room was very clean and the grounds were great as well. The hotel was older and redone and that was clear. The front door sliding door was broken but that did not hinder the stay. The hallways were warm but the rooms were perfectly kept at your desired temp. Weird that there was only one way in and out! No use of any other doors... but that was a safety measurement. The room again was immaculate. The bathroom door squeaked loud as hell, but didn't know until we finally closed it and opened it in the middle of the night. The location is not perfect and the price was right. The parking lot was a bit tight but honestly the stay was perfect. I would 1000% stay here again.

The room was ok. Location was convenient for access and a decent place to stay for a night. I was not excited to be there for 4 nights after my arrival. The cash deposit was annoying and seems really strange. Having to go find a gas station to get cash to check in made me really question where I was staying. I guess you get what you pay for and next time I’ll pay more to go elsewhere.

Decent hotel at decent price. Good location.

This was a good hotel. In and out is literally across the street and it’s within walking distance to the beach. The bathroom could use a better fan for taking showers but that was minor.

Fantastic stay at a reasonable price.

Poor customer service, We arrived on Friday.The hotel was full. The TV did not work in our room, they only had 1 person on staff, that did not know how to fix it, they claimed no one would be available until Monday. But Monday came and no one rver showed up or called, the girl at the counter offered to refund my deposit, but I would have to call Expedia to see if I could get a refund. I had no choice but to stay, since we did not have enough $ to pay for another hotel. But we will never go back to this hotel again, I wish Expedia had a phone # that we could speak to a life person.

NO breakfast. They use to serve a hot breakfast but do not anymore.

Make sure to bring I..D for your entire family anyone over 18 must have Id or not allowed to check in. I believe it's due to the homeless population & hotel vandalism in the area. This is a 2 star hotel. The price is fair but there are no amenities, no pool, no patio, no view, ok room to sleep & shower only. Close to In & Out Burger.

The room was great it was clean, but it had smell in the room like pets' urine which threw me off but other than that great room. Honestly just the 200 dollars hold and the so strict ID checks for people you bring or visitors.

Location was great, room was satisfactory. There are signs of deferred maintenance in the bathroom

This hotel is the best. We always stay here when we come down to Oceanside from Arizona we love it .

The hotel and rooms are cheap and cheerful

So called breakfast was lame, the tv was offered was so cheap. Zero options. Best part was free parking

I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay a cash deposit for the hotel by finding an ATM since the hotel’s ATM was broken. It would have been nice if management had mentioned the cash deposit prior to booking. I wish there was a substantial breakfast and a gym (which was mentioned in the listing for Hotels.com). I’m a very big fan of transparency, which I wish that management would be more proactive with.
