The Douillet by Demeure Hotels

I needed a place to crash after arriving on a late flight, so this was near the airport without paying airport hotel prices. There were lots of chain restaurants and stores in close driving distance. The whole hotel was dirty. Hallways, elevators, carpet in the room, shower, etc. were grimy and beat up. The room was small and damp-ish. The bathroom was just gross. The shower was a plastic pre-fab monstrosity with other people's soap scum on everything. No toiletries. The bed was a full-sized bed, which was kind of old and not very comfortable. I was informed when I checked in at 11:30 PM - fresh off of traveling all day across the country, hungry and ready for a shower and bed - that they would lock the front doors at midnight and I could not use my room key to get back in, I would have to ring for the night clerk, which was a nuisance. I booked this room for its price, location, and Free breakfast. Well, there were handwritten signs everywhere stating that you could not take breakfast out of the breakfast area, no food in the rooms, no to-go breakfast. The breakfast was the standard free breakfast fare - waffles, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc. The juice machine was broken, there was no water, the coffee was empty. The breakfast "room" (more just a small area off the lobby with a few tables) was absolutely packed to the gills and nowhere to sit. I had an appointment, so I couldn't hang around and wait for someone to leave, so no breakfast for me. I cancelled the rest of my stay at this hotel because it was inhospitable and dirty. I didn't have super high expectations for this property, but assumed it would be serviceable for a shower, a sleep, and breakfast before getting to work the next day. It failed on all three.

Hotel is in good shape. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is enough parking for even larger vehicles. Pool was clean and the laundry worked. There was not a fitness room. Breakfast well is not much to choose from.

You get what you paid for. The staff was pleasant but the room had stains on ceiling. The shower door didn't close fully. The property didn't appear the most maintained.

Very reasonable and convenient to everything. It has some age, but the staff and price make it a good value.

The Douillet is centrally located for all the activities and attractions that I wanted to visit. Exceptional staff who made me feel welcome and safe. The facility shows some age, but was clean and comfortable.

This place looks horrible inside and out. Came in from out of town, thinking it was a decent place to stay the night. Place looks haunted. Homeless outside. We just left. Didn’t even stay the night.

They were very accommodating to me arriving in the middle of the night as I traveled across the country. The lady at night was very nice and helpful. And it was clean. Thank you

The front desk staff folks were very nice, friendly, and helpful. It was a good deal for the price. The room was serviceable for me, but there were things in the room that needed attention. The smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling. A panel was loose on the heat/AC unit. The carpet needed to be shampooed. After walking on the carpet the first night, the bottoms of my white socks were black. There were were also some other cosmetic repairs needed.

That’s my family could not swim because they were not staying there. But all in all it was good

The staff was friendly and helpful, free breakfast at I unfortunately could not take advantage of, a nice cozy room and actually had vending machines that work. It's taking an unusual amount of time for my deposit to show back up in my account. This probably has nothing to do with the motel itself so I don't even know if it counts. I'm sure a simple call would clear it up.

The AC was not cold enogh and the overlook of the fasility is out dated

No, the Douillet is not a fancy, four star property but it is one of the best low budget properties you will ever find that is still clean and well maintained. The Douillet is in an excellent location close to several major restaurants, stores and entertainment spots. I have stayed at this property several times in the past and find no one reason why I will not stay there again in the future. Happy travels!

The front desk receptionist was exceptionally helpful. However, the room was outdated, with an old fan that blew hot air while on cool. There was German cockroaches. Additionally, the door lock was malfunctioning. Pool was green.

The nice Young Lady at check-in! The room door was difficult to maneuver. The walls had chipping/peeling paint. The room smelled of mold/musky. The other Staff was hard to communicate with for various reasons…
