Island View Motel

WE arrived for checkin,house keeping was still doing room,Bailey,head housekeeper was great.We had a keypad entry that intially the # wouldn't work,gave us a new # and had problems locking/unlocking.No one on property is not good.I call the # for maine retreats and always get a leave a message with seldom a call back.We would have been in trouble if nobody would have been there and as it was we had to leave room unlocked to get in.Everything else was great,clean,friendly(when someone was there)all in all great stay,will be back

Close de the beach (1min walk) and a see view from the balcony and the room (last floor). Cool staff.

For the price it's not great. Three floors with small stairs you have to carry everything up. Limited parking. Staff only on site till 8pm. A mile from the pier. Flooring wasn't great in room and dirty.

Was the typical old orchard beach hotel. Convenient. Staff was super nice. Small pool in the front was great for kids.

Great time!

We had a great stay at Island View Hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms very clean, conveniently located right across the street from the beach.

Nice clean little spot. However, if you are staying here and plan on walking to the pier/main area it’s quite a ways, especially if you have children and a lot of stuff to carry. Another thing I was not a fan of, is how small the parking area is. When we arrived at night time, ready for bed there was no room in the parking lot for us to park. We had to shimmy our way into a spot that left us no room to open our doors on either side.

Great little place on the beach. So convenient. Room is tired but convenience makes up for it. Was very clean.

Old and rundown. Beds/mattresses were all sunk in. Pillows flat and old. Went in to take a shower and tub was filthy. I don’t think it had been really cleaned in a long time. Shampoo and soap stains in tub. Huge gap in door exposing the outside. Had to stuff washcloths in gap. I could go on and on. Left a day early with no refund. Shame on the owner for renting in that condition.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The photos posted do not represent this hotel at all. They failed to mention a train track runs directly behind the property with trains running 3-5 times a day and night. My room had holes in the ceiling tears in the flooring, basically one light in the room and most of the lights were out in the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioner was a window air conditioner about the size of a small microwave stuck in the wall. I ended up leaving after my first night with no refund of course. I had booked 4 nights! This is an old hotel in need of a complete renovation !

Stairs, railings are rotten and while climbing the stairs with a heavy suitcase, railing’s were coming out of the rotted wood No emergency phone. or staff available to help in case of an emergency mm. Wall shelf holding microwave was coming out of wall.
