The Beach House

This is a wonderful property. Right on the beach and close to attractions and good food. Owner was very kind and helpful. It is a peaceful place!

We have found our new vacation spot. So cozy, comfortable, clean, updated and fully stocked with kitchenware. The private balcony was amazing! Highly recommend! Only complaint we had was bed was small with hard bouncy mattress. Now to be fair, my husband and I are both tall and we are used to a king sized memory foam mattress, so we are spoiled. The mattress was clean and not a saggy mess! So it was totally acceptable because it was not old and worn out!

Wonderful access to the beach. Parking on site and under 10 minute walk to town center. Very relaxing.

We love the location, but more importantly, we loved the great service and help received in moving in on a extremely windy day. Darrell was always ready to lend a hand and would stop and chat and share stories about the property. Look forward to coming back again. Could have used a couple of larger bowls for salads or mixing things like pancakes.

Though I booked the cheapest room (so price was good), I will say it was quite tight for 3 people, with the bed right up against the door and a futon. Both were not that comfortable. Prior to arrival, however, I was sent a video with the layout of the room, so it was not a surprise, but seeing it in person, next time I will book the larger room.

Room was great, very clean, comfortable. Good communication with staff. View was outstanding. We loved the deep shaded patio. Only downsides were that other guests often smoked and listened to music on the first floor patio area, and we don't like the smell, and would prefer to hear the ocean. But that's the other guests, not the hotel. The town of Old Orchard Beach was OK, but not amazing. Beach itself was nice, pretty clean, and so shallow at low tide, great for kids. But the restaurant options were soooo bleak, with the exception of one fantastic meal we had at Joseph's by the Sea. Amusement park (one of the reasons we chose OOB, to be in a fun family area) only had one good non-kiddy ride. Arcade was fun though, and the . Not sure we'd stay in OOB again, but if we did, we'd stay at this hotel again. It was about a half mile from the pier which was a nice walk, and nice to be a little away from the crowd.

location was perfect!! great patio right on the beach close to the shops and caos but not close enough to be too loud etc.. walkable well equipped for a beach stay, microwave, coffee pot, small fridge, perfect for small meals;breakfast and some meals out.. nice beach, not too crowded. parking is tight! beware if you have an suv Big focus on checkout time.. I feel like it was too much of a focus from staff..made me feel a bit unwelcome. It felt strange to get so many text reminders to "get out". ..Understandable busy season and family business. I usually stay at Marriott and HIlton for travel where there is minimal communication!!

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Clean comfortable room with porch overlooking the ocean. Bed was comfortable. Greatvolace to chill but still be in walking distance to town.

Nice beach cottage vibe, great location The room was not clean at check-in with many hairs present in the bed sheets and bathroom. Dust bunnies, etc. Not the Beach House's fault but a group of young revelers had taken over the parking lot after hours and were going at full volume until I had to chase them off.

Very cozy room, very clean. Right on the beach! Friendly staff/owner:). VERY affordable price! Will definitely be back
