The room was good. Breakfast was amazing

They do have kitchens, which may be a plus for families. They do welcome pets. The pool was closed, and the ice machine was down. I guess a part broke. The location of the bed was near the air conditioner, which was noisy and blew on your face. My brother commented that the room could have been rearranged more efficiently to prevent the air from blowing on your face. We didn't get a good night sleep. We felt this was not the quality or standard we expected from Marriott. Other hotels in the area were much nicer; however, I decided to choose this property because it was a Marriott. This property was very outdated and needed lots of TLC. If you're looking for luxury or nicer accommodations, please look elsewhere.

    1. Requested a handicap accessible room, we received a regular room with a very low toilet, which was hard to use being so low. 2. Breakfast was delicious, but would recommend getting a second waffle iron. Lots of people waiting to be able to make waffles. But.......the beds were so soft, never woke up once through the night, which is very unusual for me.

Overall the hotel was okay for my 6 night stay. What I wasn’t happy about was the false advertising on Expedia. I booked a room for 4 which showed it had a pull out sofa. Once I checked in and arrived at my room there was no sofa it was 2 beds and 2 chairs. As I went to front desk to get moved to what I selected I was told that I would have to deal with the Expedia. I guess sometimes it’s better to make the reservation on the actual hotel site or call.

Breakfast is excellent. The man who manages the breakfast is very conscientious. The coffee and food are above average. I have stayed here several times and see people using the grill, so I bought meat for the 5 nights I was recently there. The grill turns out to be very old, and most of the burners are not functional. I asked management about this, but nothing was done during my stay. I won't try to grill there again. They also promote that they have grilling tools, but when you ask, it is very slim picking. When I asked they were able to find a spatula to use. The mattresses are soft and I usually go home with a backache after each stay - I suspect they need to be replaced. The AC in Rm 212 struggled to keep the room cool with the sun coming in the windows, so I kept the blinds closed all week. I have stayed at this location a total of about 35 days this year and most days you smell pot in the hallways. I am not a complainer, so I didn't report any of the above issues other than my disappointment in the grill. Overall, for the price, it is a reasonable accommodation.

Is brightly colored and decor not to my taste

Breakfast should have been better overall for a Marriott. We expected nicer breakfast items. Eggs were not good and paper thin bacon.

The breakfast was fair but better than none

After ck in we found the tv didn’t work. So Cris for the frt. desk came up and decided to move us next door. Easy peasy smooth transition.

Staff were not that friendly, breakfast just okay and they forgot to "refresh" our room so I had to ask for fresh towels and supplies.

As for the room/property itself, I was pretty disappointed in the overall condition. I have stayed in Towneplace Suites before in other cities and I return because I enjoy the setup of having a mini kitchen area when traveling with our infant. Our shower had mold visible under some of the built in shelves and the bathroom overall felt a bit dingy. The towels were rough and visibly stained. Our toilet ran continuously. The hallways smelled a bit musty and the chlorine in the pool was so strong that it turned everyone's eyes bloodshot. There is only one ice maker on the property and it was out of order our entire stay. We would not return to this property.

So overall a decent place to stay for a quick overnight. The hotel was clean and in a good state of repair. This was my experience that made it a little less desirable than other places I’ve stayed in Omaha: The room was cramped and small for a ‘suite’ (King with small pullout loveseat sofa), the lobby reception and seating area for breakfast was very cramped and small- everyone was elbow to elbow at breakfast (not terrible but would have a little more pleasant if we had more room, only 2 of us), and the gym area while clean, had some very worn equipment (bench was rusty and torn, one of two treadmills were out of order, and the working treadmill had a rip in the belt that almost led to a fall); I think I wouldn’t be writing half as much in this review, though, if I had felt that the staff was a little more helpful when my son slipped in the pool area and sprained his ankle. The one ice machine for the hotel was out of order, so I asked the front desk for a little assistance and they said the only option was to make ice in the ice trays in the room, not ideal since they were empty and it would take a while, but okay, a cold washcloth could work for a bit. Bought a dose of Aleve from the shop area for $5 and went back to my room. Could have been a nice gesture to comp the Aleve but I get it, tight margins and what not. I should have brought a first aid kit. At any rate, again, decent place for a quick stay, but I wouldn’t recommend for anything longer, by my experience.
