The rooms were very clean. The staff was excellent, so accommodating. The only negative I have is their internet was very weak or did not work at all. Since it's a bed and breakfast. There are no TVs except in a common area room, which is fine but just be aware that you do not have TVs in your bedroom

The hotel is located an easy walk from the Aquarium and Cannery Row. And going to the 17 mile drive and Carmel was so easy from the hotel. It’s a great couples’ weekend away destination!

This was a very very dated property. It didn't seem super clean, the floor tiles in bathroom were loose, the pillows were extremely lumpy, the shutters were broken. It was just kind of odd how easy these things would be to update, yet they remain completely unaddressed. It's a nice location for the aquarium and right across from the pedestrian path. Wouldn't stay there again.

Entire property was spotless and everyone was very nice

Breakfast was delicious and made to order. There was a small menu that changed day-to-day with 3-4 similar options. Service was lovely and staff were always friendly and accommodating. Lots of extra spaces to hang out. I loved the garden and the atrium on the second floor with a gorgeous ocean view. I do wish the sink wasn’t so far from the rest of the bathroom (Pineapple room). A little inconvenient. Wifi also cut out very frequently.

The location and interior design are unbelievable! The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a wonderful view to enjoy it alongside.

Everything was perfect!

Fantastic location in Pacific Grove, right across the street from the coastal trail, and an easy walk to Cannery Row in Monterey. We also love the opportunity to have a real, cozy fire in the fireplace N/a, we have stayed multiple times and will stay again!

We stayed in the California room, its a smaller room, but I really liked that it was tucked away, quiet and sunny overlooking the garden. The staff at breakfast was very professional and presented a nice breakfast and we loved the view from the dining room. the guest were friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The old antiques were interesting. The mansion was once a sparkling pearl on the ocean but it has been neglected, and it appears the owners have not invested much into upkeep. The overall grounds and interior is in need of more care. There are weeds and unmanicaured vegetation as you walk up to the entrance. There is a weird toxic smell from a spray cleaner as you walk in. The staff cleans the surfaces but the place is run down. The garden pond is dry and needs cleaning. We found rotted fruit on the carpet in our room and our bed was really hard, seemed like a very cheap mattress. It kept me up at night as it was so unfomfotrtable. The chairs were old, springs shot. The hot water cannister at night was not hot and there was only 2 tea bags. The cream for the coffee was artifiicial coffee mate at the coffee counter.

The beautiful scenery and the sound of the waves at night.

Breakfast is in a room overlooking the ocean. It is served on beautiful table sittings. Their custard French toast might be the best French toast I've ever had by miles. I go back again just for that!
-
The view is stunning, and the staff and service was amazing. Every room is different and special.
