Just what we needed

The exterior property needs some trash pickup and landscape attention. The air filter in the room ac unit was dirty (see pic). I cleaned it due to my allergies. The room was missing the smoke detector, which i didn't notice until the next morning (see pic). When i brought it to the attention of the morning desk clerk, she pretty much blew off my concern, made aome random excuses and said that it was removed because it needed the batteries changed. Really? Wow! That's a 5 minute job and does not require it to be removed. Dangerous and a life safety issue for sure. Other than that, we were happy with our stay.

The staff was friendly. The location was extremely convenient to where we needed to be. The bathroom was subpar. The fire alarms blink bright white lights all night long. In a pitch black room this is an annoying to say the very least. As someone who takes seizure medication, this is a trigger and could lead to a medical emergency. I do not know if all of La Quinta’s locations do this but I do know this location’s other rooms do because I spoke with other guests during our stay.

They said I only had one room booked with two Queen beds. Online I booked for 1 room with a king bed and another room with 2 queen beds. I still waiting to see if I am going to be charged for both rooms. I also paid a pet fee online and they said I did not pay it and I had to pay one when I was there.

Rooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was well maintained. Breakfast was average for hotels. There was a design flaw with the shower. You couldn’t enter the shower on the side where the water controls were which made it difficult to turn the water on without getting ice cold water spraying on you. I would highly recommend this hotel.

nice staff, bkfst selection coffee not hot enough, Rm 109 shower messed up. very hard to regulate Bed too high for accessible room, clunking noise near room all night

Nice clean, good location, quite, friendly staff, staff had answers for everything, helped me book extra days. My husband really liked the suite. Did step in a pee puddle by the night stand in our room, staff did ask if I wanted the carpet cleaned.
