Texas Bungalows Hotel & Hotel Que at i35 Austin Pflugerville

We were visiting relatives and it was very convenient to them. Very few hotels in this area. The daily maid service was nice. Fresh towels each day.

Nice clean affordable rooms. More than I expected with the kitchenette. Road closure made accessible to hotel difficult.

So let me start with a positive. It is a very clean hotel at least by 2026 standards unfortunately but it felt clean. Very no nonsense hotel elevator reeks of marijuana and the fire alarm went off at 4:44 AM on my first night there for some reason they just said we’ll fix it. TV has a mind of its own would turn off and on like another remote control was controlling it or something. I have no idea, but it was a stay as my new apartment I was supposed to move into had water damage so needed to stay somewhere else for a few days as I had already moved out of my other place, so it served its purpose should be about 20% less than what I paid though to be honest with you. Overall, a solid choice for a short day great location hard to access due to construction, but still, I know the area like the back of my hand.

The pros were close to groceries and restaurants, updated beds and tv.

It had all the amenities needed Seemed to be low water pressure.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room is very cozy and I love that they have a ceiling fan in the rooms to distribute the temperature evenly. The value for the money is great. Not the hotel owner's fault but I did not like the construction and the bad roads. The traffic was bad in the evening.

Power went out many times during the night and the AC unit beeped and woke me up every time.

Parking was easy and convenient

The receptionist was very nice. It was clean Hard to locate, very basic eg towels very thin (hard to dry), basic supplies (eg very small packet of shampoo). We were glad it was a very short stay, just somewhere to lay our head for a few hrs. Although it seemed like a new building, it felt very lacking in style, finish and overall substance.

There was also an anti-theft glass barrier at the entrance, and the overall environment felt very different from what was described on Booking.com and reflected in the reviews. We were traveling with kids and did not feel comfortable staying. When we tried to explain, we were told to quickly decide and not waste time, and that if we didn’t take it, someone else would. We felt uncomfortable and decided to leave immediately. Unfortunately, we were still charged.

Parking area well lighted. Everything was very clean and in great condition. Area was good. Great overall expierience.
