-Main light in room was not working. -It took 5 minutes to figure out which handle of the showers controls what and how to get it just right. -Hotel doe not have amenity to print boarding passes for flight -Outdoor skyline deck is locked at 8PM -Walls are not sound-proofed at all and next door guests sound almost as if in your room

My daughter and I stayed here while we looked at colleges. The location was perfect, within walking distance of so many sights, and the staff was very helpful. The parking was easy and (compared to other valet service) inexpensive. The rooftop pool and lounge was unreal. We asked to check in early and got our room right away. It was a wonderful experience.

I have stayed at least 10 times because of the value, dogs are free and full kitchen. However, I am always a little disappointed in the rooms. They just don't have a polished feel. For example, all the headbroads of the rooms that I have stayed in over the last 18 months are damaged. It is not grossly bad, just not a polished look.

First, the positives... the location is fantastic, the staff (everyone we encountered) was excellent, the pool area was very nice and gym was, too. The big detractor is that our room was old and tired. It was clean, but when the renovated, or at least tried, they replaced the carpet with crappy vinyl plank flooring. The size of the room was fine, the AC functioning was not good, but it was a heatwave weekend, so some grace there. The room did not match the photos, had our room been accurately shown in the photos I would not have stayed. You can tell from the lobby and other public areas that the design team at the hotel know what they're doing so if you stay just make sure you are in a fully renovated room - if there is such a thing, otherwise, except for the location and staff you'll be just as well off at a Holiday Inn Express.

Location was good but the pool closed at 8pm. It was 110 degrees and we couldn’t use the pool. We had four people in our room and never had enough towels; 2or 3 depending on the day. Housekeeping left trash sitting on counter and never finished. Alan was wonderful when we dropped our bags off the first day!

Aging rooms are being renovated which may result in some dust and debris on your trip from the lobby to your room and undesirable noise from 0800 to ~1700. I stayed in a "renovated" suite - some finishes are updated and some furnishings were replaced, but it feels more perfunctory than functional. In the kitchen: the dishwasher wouldn't open because the oven handle blocks it, the microwave dims all the lights in the room, the fridge door opens into the working space instead of toward the adjacent wall, and the sink disposal has a switch that does not activate the disposal. The main room had a brand new table that was missing two feet and wobbled, the new tv was mounted to a veneer that was clearly not structural and the tv weight was pulling the veneer away from the wall. Some "new" outlets were loose and that movement/ flexibility seemed hazardous. In the bathroom: the layout is tight - given all the space in the suite, conceding some to the shower and toilet would be a smart improvement; more than one of our towels was thread-bare which didn't fit the expectations of 1. a suite or 2. a renovated space. HVAC controls were present, but modification of temperature and mode did not affect the actual performance and we accepted that 63-65 degrees was our only option. Caveat: I'm an attention to detail person; these observations probably won't affect you if you just need a clean place to lay your head for a night or two.

Great location for art museums, nearby restaurants and centrally located in center city Philadelphia. Our two night stay was restful, loved the larger quarters, bathroom, kitchen and soaps/lotions. Front desk staff was gracious. Good security requiring key card access. Pool was a little crowded but rooftop was lovely with great views. Workout room was generously outfitted with cardio, weights and stretching mats. Also very cool. Thank you for a lovely stay, we most certainly will be back!

Pool on the roof with views was amazing the fact it was heated was brilliant. The suites where a great size and the 2 restaurants at entrance to the hotel were so good.

    Beautiful location and hotel!

I love the room size and comfort. The accommodation and staff response was great the view from the balcony and roof top was amazing I loved our whole stay. The only downside was the fact that the pool closed earlier than expected.

Our only complaint was that the door to our room stuck & we had to push hard to open it. We had a suite with double beds which was spacious & clean for the 3 of us. Beds comfortable. There are 2 restaurants on site, one if which is open late with good food. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is definitely 5 stars. Well worth the price that you pay. The location is amazing. The two restaurants are awesome. The pool is definitely a gem. The view from upstairs on the pool area is beautiful. I felt good watching my kids and wife have fun at this establishment. We stayed on Father’s Day weekend. I’d definitely stay again. I loved it.

Location Its a very old building. In pictures it looks fancy and nice place but reality is different.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The room was spacious and clean. I think the staff was a little overwhelmed by the large soccer crowds in attendance. I requested an early check-in and was told “noted, should not be a problem” and when I arrived my room was not available. The public bathroom was a war zone. Like I said- I think they were a bit overwhelmed.

    Rooms were great and big.

This is a great/convenient location and a fun place to stay. Good space. Liked the Irish bar downstairs. Just could use a bit of painting/touch up work.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

We were there for only one night as part of a longer trip. I wish we had more time, and we will stay there again next time. The room was very large and clean, and the view was pretty good from the 6th floor. The Irish restaurant downstairs was great, and there are a couple of convenience stores nearby with good hours. The location is also perfect for the core tourist attractions in central Philadelphia. This was our first time there, but won't be our last.

Excellent location. Great big rooms. Standard hotel furniture. Was hoping it would be a little more comfortable. Bathroom in the photos looked larger than reality.
