Homewood Suites Phoenix Avondale

Our room was supposed to be discounted because the AC was blowing all night making noise and the reason we rented the room was because it was wheelchair accessible for my sister-in-law because she just got out of the hospital and wasn’t able to go up the stairs at her home for a couple days and the shower in the wheelchair accessible restroom was broken and nothing was done about it. The manager said that we will get refunded for both days and we have not received that.

We’ve have stayed in some budget hotels but this one might be the one that beats them as worst! We arrive systems were down.. okay that’s fine lot of places experience that we had a two day stay. First night was okay I guess. Common areas and hallways are pretty warm. Our closet had someones reusable bag which looked pretty new and clean so whatever we did utilize the pull out sofa so they gave us bedding for it and when we opened it, it had dirty sheets with stains and someone’s socks. Second day.. we get STUCK in the elevator with our kids .. call button no one answers .. my girls start to freak out so my husband push the door open and lucky we are close enough to our floor to get out apparently it’s a common thing for the elevator to stop working should of been our sign to leave. That night just before 2am the AC unit had some awful squeaky loud noises then it went out so we slept in the hot because at that time I wasn’t calling anyone into our room with sleeping kids. Did let front desk know in the morning just okay I’ll have someone look at it.. check out here is at noon we were packed and out before 10. We did have breakfast there which I’m pretty sure was the best part of the stay. Kids also went swimming the pool is on the small side and they had very limited pool towels.

Our room wasn't ready at check in. 4 hours later they had a room ready for us and that they had fixed the broken Air Conditioning but the shower was still broken. Upon entering the room there it smelled like a wet diaper and an ashtray . They moved us into a smaller room but charged us the same price but said they would give us 25,000 Hilton points for our troubles. Turns out I was not given any points for our stay. Staff is friendly, but the place is falling apart and not maintained.

Everything was amazing, my kids loved it here!

I was there with my children for almost a month and was forced to leave because they over booked by twelve rooms. I had to move all my stuff and my children to another hotel. The staff there were amazing and always helpful. So, no complaints there. Also, their continental breakfast is the same every other day. The same stuff no changes! After paying over $3000. I shouldn't have been treated like that with no accommodation.

The room was very clean and spacious and serves was great.

Mrs. Love was absolutely amazing from Check In to Check Out. She was so Professional, Courteous & a Joy to talk to. If you had more of her, I wouldn’t even consider staying at another Hotel chain. Peace & Blessings!
