David super star of the hotel! Such a warm welcome ♥️🐻😍
-
excellent location...oldest Hotel in Phoenix. I liked it..Great value
-
Hotel did not have "hotel parking", had to use adjacent paid parking lot.
-
We will never stay at this hotel again! The bed was rock hard with springs poking through your back! The pillows were like bricks too! We stayed for 4 hours and left early am for our necks and back hurt so much!
-
Great place No pooll need that in the summer
-
Shower had no cold water, so it was sleighed scalding hot or barely any water pressure. WiFi was super spotty. Room was clean but very dated. Very thin walls so you could hear everything and had some interesting characters being very loud at night.
-
The version main thing is you have to remember this hotel was built in 1922 or 28th the rooms are as big as the standard rooms would have been in the 1920s tight small but great experience great architecture and historical pictures and documents in a great overall place to stay right downtown Phoenix

No tiene estacionamiento, personal no fue amable, muebles muy viejos.
-
The in room bathroom was very small. Walls are thin, so noises from neighbors was a little bit of an issue. Additionally WiFi was slow enough (from my room) that it was pretty much unusable.
-
Inexpensive. Quaint is a good description. Tiny bathroom, but is affordable, clean, and right in downtown
-
Parking is a block away
-
The room and bathroom were clean. The main concern was the shower. There was no water pressure at all.

The staff was friendly and super accommodating of my needs (they let me check in early because I was literally rushing to a Diamondbacks game straight from the airport). The area around the hotel was safe and lively and very convenient. Light rail north and south stops were 1 block away, and the east and west trains were only about two blocks away at the downtown hub. You can literally ride all the way to downtown Mesa and back for $4. Phoenix is such a beautiful city, full of light, warmth, and charming people. The Hotel San Carlos continues that beautifully. Let the San Carlos wrap you in Southwestern hospitality, history, and 19th century old world charm. My stay was absolutely perfect.

Considering that Hotel San Carolos is an historic hotel, it stands to reason that the property might be called "dated" which adds to its character. Friendly staff. Parking is available (and affordable) just around the corner from the hotel in a city parking garage. Plenty of eateries and pubs within easy walking distance. Close to the Phoenix Convention Center. If you stay here, take the time to notice some of the stars who made this their destination in days gone by, and the stories and news items that are framed on the hallway walls.
-
It is a great location unless you need parking, that was very difficult, had to park several blocks away but for what we paid, great deal.
-
An absolute perfect anniversary getaway! Beautiful hotel, large romantic rooms, helpful staff, great restaurants to walk to. Would definitely ho back.
-
Only bad thing I experienced was big spikes in water temperatures during a shower. Felt like if the person in the nearby rooms flushed all the cold water was gone for a second making the shower super hot for a few seconds.
-
Super cool historic hotel! I absolutely loved the location, close to great restaurants and the convention center. Room was comfortable though a bit on the small side. Perfect for a single traveler or a couple.

The pool was unfortunately closed for repairs, and the old pipes made some noise when we used the shower, but other than that this hotel was maintained quite well, and has tons of historic character. Its location downtown is very convenient, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
