Rise was a great hotel if you’re looking for something outside of the traditional hotel scenery. It was close to a lot of eating spots and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. If I’m ever in the Phoenix area again, I will definitely consider staying.

Has adjacent restuarants for dining and a great bookstore too. The pool area was fun and the staff very friendly. Also the rooftop bar was great for a nightcap with friends. Overall, it was enjoyable and you could park the car and have everything you need within the block. Friendly staff at the pool. Wish the pool was bigger and deeper.

It is an older hotel that needs some maintenance updates. The room has a musty smell immediately when walking in from the AC ducts and I noticed the smart thermometer unit had the "change filter" sign on. The $35 resort fee is high for what you get so the fees feel out of sync with the quality and type of amenities. The $15 bar credit is not useful if you don't plan to use it. There was no coffee maker in the room which would be a more needed amenity, or the option of a coupon for a free coffee at Cartel Cafe downstairs which has great coffee would make more sense.

I booked a room here for my daughter who needed to stay a night in Phoenix. She & her boyfriend loved it there. They raved about the popsicles, the room and the pool.

All good. The pool on Sunday was a loud crowd of women but the place was better than it looks and better than expected.

The property was nice. The staff at the pool and bar were not friendly and acted as though we were putting them out. We sat at the pool for over 20 minutes before the server said anything to us, even though he continued to walk past. He told my husband not to try to put up the umbrella himself. Which is fine, but then he never came and put it up; we had to ask someone else. For the price of drinks and food, the service was subpar. That part was disappointing. The front desk was very kind, and the food and drinks were delicious.

This boutique hotel is a brilliantly restored collection of mid-century modern office towers that's been given a colorful second life. Whoever dreamed this place up deserves a high five. It's retro without feeling dated, stylish without trying too hard, and just plain fun. The rooms are bright, cheerful, and full of personality. You almost expect the furniture to start telling stories about business deals from 1965. The swim club is a great place to cool off, the rooftop bar is perfect for watching the Arizona sunset with a drink in hand, and the whole property has a relaxed, social vibe that makes it easy to settle in. Another big plus is the location. The nearby light rail makes it easy to head into downtown Phoenix without worrying about traffic or parking, so you can spend more time exploring and less time staring at brake lights. This isn't your typical hotel—and that's exactly why I liked it. If you enjoy places with character, color, and a little bit of retro cool, I'd happily recommend staying here. I'd definitely book it again.

Amazing place for the price! Nice pool to cool off and order drinks/food!

As always, this place was a perfect weekend retreat. I band for 4th of July weekend, also my birthday weekend, and I was able to spend the whole time on the property. Everything from drinks to food to activities is all right here in this shaded, beautiful oasis. The staff is AMAZING and the drinks at LYLO Swim Club are really good. I love the boutique vibe and clean rooms with MCM design. It's been my favorite place to stay for awhile now.
