Hyatt House Pittsburgh/Bloomfield/Shadyside

The hotel is a very short walk to UPMC Shadyside which is why I booked it. The breakfast was hot and delicious. There's a good variety and it's complete. There are places to eat and drink within half to three quarter miles that were an easy walk. And a diner only a couple blocks away.

Only Earl Grey teas available at the coffee/tea bar downstairs.

While the location is prime, the property itself is showing its age and the front desk staff are not fully engaged with the guest experience. For the price we paid, we expected cleaner common areas, more thoughtful communication, and daily housekeeping.

For the price I paid to stay, I was expecting things to be clean and up to date. I had three lights on and it blew the breaker in the room, the shower was moldy and the fridge leaked. The distance from the hospital was perfect, but that was about it.

staff was excellent. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Exceptionally so. Breakfast was good and efficient with nice choices for family style serving.

Staff was friendly and the facilities were good. Minor things like the alarm clock didn’t work there was nothing to write on (Note pad or paper) other than a breakfast bar and bar no dining facility.

Modern and clean hotel in a convenient location. Excellent breakfast. Only down side is $24 per night for parking outside.

Very good

The hotel was situated in a convenient location with almost everything needed within walking distance. There is a small park across the street that is nice to sit and relax in the evening. The neighborhood is quiet & seems quite safe.

We were somewhat disappointed in the breakfast buffet…had been better on our previous stays. We were also very surprised to see the the “Hyatt” is using plastic knives and forks…?

We stayed here for a week with my two children and loved it. So clean and nice.. we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. Checking in was easy and I loved that they asked if we needed housekeeping. We did not. Good way to save on resources. The space and our room was clean and up to date. The breakfast had a variety on offer but mostly I enjoyed having honey for my tea. We did not have a kitchenette but we did have a small fridge and microwave which was great for when we were too tired to eat another fatty restaurant meal. All in all, I’d definitely revisit!

Beautiful room, very clean There was only one set of elevators. Service staff was jamming in while guests.
