Residence Inn Pittsburgh Oakland/University Place

Very clean and modern rooms with decent gym and breakfast. The extra charge for parking was annoying but pretty common in the city.

Overall it was a positive stay. The only issues I had were that the bottom of the shower door was moldy on the bottom, which I would’ve liked to have seen that cleaned, and on the final night of our stay, we were only given 2 bath towels instead of 3. That was a problem because the second new towel was wet. I don’t think it is unrealistic to expect all the clean towels to be dry.

The breakfast was very good and the people at the desk tried to help. However, there was no mention in the hotel description that the parking was very limited. And you would have to park on the street in the description. It says covered parking one space per unit. That was not the case. When I got there, I had to park many blocks away. I blame Expedia for this since I booked through them. I will use another booking site in the future I think.

We enjoyed a good location on Forbes Avenue near Pitt. The convenience store next door and decent breakfast options were convenient. The clean room and helpful staff made it a pleasant stay. We’ll return if in the Pittsburgh area.

The location was nice. It’s close to a lot of things! It wasn’t as clean as it should be. There was dust, the floors felt sticky the showers had mildew between the tiles hair on the floor it just wasn’t clean

The room was not clean and the hotel is very simple with nothing much to do in or around it. When we tried to use the foldout bed, under the cushions were lots of crumbs and dirty socks. Obviously they do not move anything when cleaning. The staff was very nice but also the breakfast was very basic.
