The Oaklander Hotel, Autograph Collection

I reserved a king, but got a double queen, which they did not make right. They also won't let you pre-order breakfast to your room. But otherwise staff was attentive and helpful.

Superb

I really like this hotel and always stay here when I visit my daughter at Pitt. The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The service is also good—not exceptional, but perfectly satisfactory. Overall, I enjoy staying here and would recommend it, especially for its convenient location and comfortable rooms.

Exceptional

The bed is super comfy and the building is nice and historic, but there were some issues. The bathroom needed a better cleaning--the toilet was not clean. And the nespresso machine was missing a part so it was not available for morning coffee when needed (and expected). I've stayed here twice but may not return because of these issues. When I'm just in town for one night I expect my room to have what I need (such as a working coffee-maker) to start my day before getting back on the road. Wish it were a bit better maintained as there is also much to like about this place.

Overall, it was excellent

Breakfast was bit dessapointed, good menu, but services was not at the top level. Had to wait for side orders. Also the expresso machine was broke.

This wonderful hotel is conveniently located near Carnegie Mellon and other museums. We didn’t have to drive anywhere!

It's a good place to go if you're moving kids into Pittsburgh or Carnegie Mellon, but it's far from cheap

Great City view

Beautiful building, amenities top notch. Perfect location to do a Pitt tour as the admissions building was a block away. Parking was connected.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff

Room service was nice. Wish they'd provided bread though.

Good

Extremely thin walls—heard neighbors having normal-volume conversations until very late when trying to sleep. Room smelled strongly of cleaning products. Shower smelled moldy, shower head had mold on it.
