Breakfast is not included. Be careful to read the details before booking. The parking fee might not be free. They remodeled an old building to a hotel. We don't like the design of the the bathroom.

Unusual and attractive decor, good breakfast and great coffee, spacious room, good value, good vibe.

I was looking for a place to lay my head. Tryp intrigued me because it used to be a Vo-Tech school. It retains its industrial vibe but in a tasteful manner. One of the lesser expensive rooms I believe, is called the ‘mini’. It is so small there is no room for a chair, only a short stool. Also, don’t expect a microwave or fridge. There’s no room. For me, for one night, not a big deal. And before you go down a hallway looking for the ice machine….take your bucket to the front desk and they will fill it for you.

Room did not have dresser to put clothes also shower was dangerous very slippery if we needed ice you had to go to front desk no ice machine on floor will not return to this hotel

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of a vibrant nightlife neighborhood in Pittsburgh. The staff were very attentive and very helpful, from the valet parking attendant to the restaurant's staff. Everyone made sure you felt listen to and taken care of. The Hotel itself was beautiful, recently renovated, with an artsy feel. We dined in the hotel's restaurant on the rooftop, and the views of all of Pittsburgh were just breathtaking. All in all a very relaxed and pleasant stay in a top notch hotel. Highly recommended.

Great location, amazing breakfast Wasn’t clean. The shower had someone's hair.

The upstairs terrace was closed due to a wedding. Downstairs bar seemed well appointed, but there are many walkable bar/dining options nearby, so I really didn't have a chance to check it out. Parking was valet only and cost $32/day. About a 10 minute drive to PNC. All staff that I encountered were friendly, from valet to front desk. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in the area.

Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was large portions and potential to be very good, except it was way too salty. Breakfast took 40 minutes to come out. Not a full restaurant either,.just 1 large party that they should have expected and planned for since there was a wedding held there .

They had a party that was supposed to end but didn’t heard loud music til 2:00

There was a different wedding every day that I was there (Friday-Sunday checked out Monday morning), which negatively impacted our stay because the wedding takes over all the common areas of the hotel. The weddings make the coffee place and lobby bar inaccessible in the afternoon as part of the wedding starts in the lobby. I’m not sure if I was allowed to but did not feel comfortable using the street entrance as I’d have to walk through the wedding to get to it. One wedding had their vows on the lobby stairs that lead up to that entrance.. I used the parking lot entrance to come in/out to walk my dog but there’s no side walk to walk around the building, you have to walk on the road, which I found dangerous and inconvenient. Because of the weddings, the rooftop was also unavailable the entire weekend, which was one of the two top reasons why I had chosen this hotel in the first place. The rooms were, unfortunately, also disappointing. The size is small but manageable, however, there is absolutely no privacy. The shower is open to the entire room and the toilet has a barn door that continuously slides open (there’s no latch or mechanism to keep it closed). Both the sink and shower drains had very poor drainage and water accumulated quickly. As for the pros: The majority of the staff was friendly and the location is unbeatable in the middle of lawrenceville (the latter being the predominant reason why I booked this hotel over others). They also allow dogs.
