SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Airport/Plainfield

Just not what was expected.

The room was clean. check in was a breeze. building was clean and aesthetic. plenty of parking. staff was nice and friendly. pool was great for the kids. breakfast was good, but your typical breakfast (waffle maker, cereal, bacon, coffee etc). bar was a plus.

staff was courteous and nice. courtesy breakfast is sub-standard. I suspect the eggs were from a prepackaged powder where they just whip it up prior to heating it. swimming pool looked just ok…I just don’t know how often they change the water. Was disappointed with the chain being cheap with no courtesy bottled water for their guests.

Great selection

We had a pleasant evening after a small hiccup not worth mentioning. We did use the pool. Was a little warm inside. Room was very clean and quiet. There was a nice selection on the breakfast buffet. My favorite were the tiny quiches. We will definitely think of Springhill when searching for our next hotel.

Surprisingly, we had the exact same room as we did almost one full year ago. The room is decently clean but floors weren’t as debris-free as I would hope. The shower edges were showing discoloration in the caulking (not sure if it was due to aging or cleanliness). The closet door was in need of adjustment as it was jammed to the point of needing to be aggressively yanked to open it. Last year, when we stayed, the most upper part of the wall above the bed (7’-8’ up the wall) had a couple strange stains. I thought we gad mentioned the stains last year but they were still there this year.

The hotel is always clean and safe.

The sink didn’t not go down well and got backed up a lot. The shower was weird. Didn’t close all the way and water would wet the floor. Wifi was disrupted when it rained so no TV. Cleaning staff did the bare minimum upon request. Overall the breakfast offered was good and varied. The pool was okay and the gym was okay as well. The experience is what you make it though!

Very clean and good staff, forgot my key in the room and the front desk was quick to help, also the gym is fantastic.

Beds nice, bathroom needs a little TLC, desk rattled when we walked by it each time.

I chose this property based specifically on reviews, and we couldn’t believe the condition of the room. It was incredibly dirty. And not just a little dirty but as in there was garbage behind the sink, garbage under the beds, and soap scum and stickiness on the bathtub and shower. There was a HUGE gap in the door - at least 1.5 inch wide gap around the door so someone could easily fit a camera, a hand, etc in our room. We were 3 women traveling together and this was disconcerting. One of us had a medical emergency the first night and didn’t have an opportunity to speak to them about it. But the room was truly NOT cleaned. Had we had the opportunity, we would have requested a new room, and money back, that’s how dirty it was. And we are generally quite how key about this type of situation.

Not enough light, needed another lamp or ceiling light Breakfast was average, waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes. Potatoes were cold, bacon was paper thin. Cleanliness was ok. Carpet was dirty in the room, shelf in the bathroom was sticky, hair in the towels.
