Great place to stay

Overall property was amazing for the location and amenities. The breakfast was good and fresh the room was nice and clean and pool area was clean as well. The Korean restaurant onsite is a must try if you are new to the area.

We loved the hospitality there and the breakfast was fantastic.

First impression was not great as there was a lot of trash in the parking lot and AC covers falling off the units. However, the room was pretty clean and sheets were fresh and fairly new. The building is dated but inside was clean. Breakfast was just ok with powdered eggs, waffles, etc and some fruit. For the price it was acceptable

I went to take a bath and the water came out brown and yellow. That was the sign for me to leave. I then moved the couch and found the floor covered in dead bugs. I lost the first night's stay, but they were nice enough to credit me back for the second night. However, as of writing this review, that credit still hasn't come through — it's been a week, so I'll be contacting the hotel directly for my refund. I didn't stay long enough to see many positives, except that the receptionist who checked me out was a lot nicer than the one who checked us in. If you're on a tight budget, this could work for you, but even as someone budget-conscious, this wasn't a place I could stay in or recommend. It really needs an overhaul. The AC unit in the room was also loud and needs upgrading. We stayed in room 281.

Bed bugs. We should have known when we walked to our room. We should have known by the smell in the hall. We should have known by the litter box by the entrance door. We did rate it higher than a 1 because they did work with us and give us our money back. Fresh cooked omelettes was good. But after breakfast we went to the room to gather our stuff and found a live bed bug crawling on the bed. My husband took it to the front office.

I found Cottonwood suites a pleasant place to stay. The included breakfast was rather impressive for this level of hotel. Made to order omelets! Not normal for a hotel this inexpensive. My room was clean and well maintained. My only real "complaint" is the room could have been cooler.

We stayed at the Cottonwood Suites Savannah Hotel & Conference Center for one night on our vacation drive. The staff was very helpful at check-in. And they helped us look for a lost earring for quite a while. The hotel is very worn as were the furnishings in the room. The price for one night was appropriately low $130 including tax, so I guess you get what you pay for. The bathroom door was warped from the leaking shower, so it was hard to open or close. The beds were well used and overly soft. The hotel was quiet, even with a large group of kids staying there. The AC cooled the room efficiently. The parking lot was very well lit, so we felt good about our vehicle safety. I don't want to bash the place too much as it was totally fine for a one night late-in, early-out stay. Just don't expect it to be a Marriott or Hyatt. We didn't eat breakfast as it wasn't available until 7 am, and we wanted to leave before that. That should definitely be changed as I imagine most people would eat something if it was available before 7 am. In the end, we would probably stay there again in a pinch.

Very good quality / price ratio

No elevator. Apparently only one luggage cart for the entire property

Our room was nice and cool. The refrigerator was turned on and ready to use. The amenities were fine, the bottles of soaps and shampoos were kind of small for my husband, he would have used a whole bottle of body wash, we had brought our own anyway. The floors in our room were very dirty and either left our feet or our socks black! The bath towels were very thin and skimpy. There was a super strong and violent thunderstorm that knocked out the power to the hotel. We waited for about an hour to see if it would come back on. It did not, so we went to a local restaurant a mile away, Terra Mia, for dinner. They had power! By the time we returned to the hotel, around 9:30 pm, the power had recently been restored.
-
The entrance smelled of cigarettes. There was a run-down international restaurant near the entrance with heavy smokers. The room was dirty and the bathrooms were filthy. It has a good location but they need to improve the cleanliness.

We had a king suite, we had 2 dogs, so we had a huge enclosed patio that my dogs loved to run around. It was a great price for the 4th of July weekend. Beds were awesome. My only negative was the breakfast was just okay. But it was really convenient to downtown Savannah, and I would recommend to anyone. Just know that it's not a 5 star luxury resort. But its clean, quiet, convenient and inexpensive.

Real little refrigerator that didn't work. Had to put ice packs in hotel 's kitchen refrigerator. Also. Bad house keeping in bathroom. Staff where friendly enough, but no one offered us any compensation for our inconvenience.

We truly enjoy our stay and the breakfast buffet was amazing and the chef that made our omelettes was super nice.
