    Would definitely stay here again

The room was a two bed. It was very spacious and comfortable. Although a second chair to sit on would have been nice, just one at the desk. The front desk was seldom staffed. When there, the staff seemed disinterested and not social. This hotel needs some personality to match its grand structure and a more welcoming atmosphere.

I was very impressed with the overall experience staying at the Manresa Castle. The room was spacious with a great view, and the decor makes you feel like you're back in the 1800s. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the Manresa Castle as a destination for anyone visiting Port Townsend.

Charming old hotel. We stayed in the biggest room and it was very cool!! Loved the detailed ceilings. One of the bed’s was squeaky. Other than that, it was great.

Beautiful hotel with an interesting history and staff that really love to share all about it. As others have said, the beds were very hard...but even with that, we loved our stay and plan to return.

It was a fun stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't experience any clanking chains or ethereal beings, but it was extremely nice not to have drunken people shouting down the hallway at 1:00 in the morning. It was very peaceful and I would recommend a stay to anyone going to Port Townsend.

Amazing room. We stayed in the turret room on the second floor. Three chandeliers. Vintage wallpaper on the ceiling. Beautiful woodwork. All of the furniture was antique. Modern updated bathroom.

The library off the lobby The beds had black hairs on the sheets. The elevator was broken. The restaurant was dirty The staff was unprofessional and had little knowledge about getting around and restaurants to recommend

Historic building with many period details. Spacious room.

    The history of the place.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Funky old hotel highlighting the past with the comforts of the new. The stairs may be a challenge for some guests.

The place has an interesting history, and photos on the walls help tell it. The "library" (the only books are some Readers Digest condensed ones) is a charming room. We paid for a queen bed, but we got a double. When I mentioned this to the desk clerk in the morning, she said, irritably, "They're all queens! They're all queens! Hotel queens are different from other queens." I have slept in many queen beds in hotel rooms, and they have always been noticeably bigger than doubles. The clerk was quite rude. In addition, the wi-fi was weak.
