We were only there for 1 night, but the innkeeper made a great suggestion for dinner. Overall a great place and would stay again.
-
This property oozed charm, and the manager was so friendly and helpful. Loved everything about my stay here.
-
Looks better on photos than in real life. Basically a nice B&B with dated amenities and utilities. Also a bit out of the way. But its charming.
-
The only real issue was the distance from all of the attractions and restaurants.
-
The place was totally amazing.

This was my first trip to Maine for a quick 38 hour trip for a friend's baby shower from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Communication was easy as I was able to text the person at the front desk letting them know my ETA. Once I got my rental car and let them know I was close, the host Maggie literally had the door open to greet me. Once showing me to my room, I looked around the pantry to see local snacks and drinks available to grab and go. Maggie went above and beyond by giving me suggestions for restaurants and shops to check out during my stay. She even had some tissue paper on hand when I commented that I'd forgotten some for my gift. The breakfast was delicious, and the entire spread was a unique assortment for a bed and breakfast style set up. When I arrived back on Saturday after the shower, there was a group of ladies making their own perfumes, and it smelled amazing. I guess they host events in the establishment as I chatted with the host of the event who was staying in the Danforth and had come over from Vermont. Every night I got to have a cozy fire in my room, and there was a book with colored pencils available to add my own story in the book along with previous excerpts from people all over the world and what they did during their stay in Portland. It was fantastic details like this that set it apart from other hotels. Checkout was super easy since I had to leave at 4am for my 6am flight, just leaving the key in a designated area. I will definitely be back!

The Blind Tiger was one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in! The location was perfect – far enough away from the "bustle" of downtown but close enough to walk to many spots (Smalls was a favorite!). The daily breakfast was so great and the room, my goodness! Adorable, perfect, comfortable... best sleep of my life! Maggie was so helpful and accommodating and made our stay really special. All in all, highly recommend!

Great stay clean rooms, delicious breakfast
-
Great location, aesthetically pleasing spaces, and responsive staff. Would definitely return!
-
Beautiful property and phenomenal team! NA
-
Not really a breakfast in the traditional sense, more of a healthy continental breakfast. Because of the lack of proximity of restaurants within walking distance, snacks could have been more plentiful.
-
Well curated style and knowledgeable staff.
-
The room was clean and we loved having a fireplace in our room. Parking was easy. A few of the staff members were friendly but others were a bit less welcoming. We wish our room could have been cleaned earlier in the day.
-
Loved fireplace and breakfast.

The property is beautiful, the staff is kind, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It was great to have a safe place to park the car while having so many things to do within walking distance. Being able to grab a quick breakfast before heading out was great too! We loved our stay here!
-
Top notch stay from top to bottom. The building is beautiful, the amenities at the pantry are incredible, and the service was delightful. I highly recommend this hotel as a cozy stay in Portland.
-
It is a Historical mansion! I was disappointed that the property didn’t have a write up about the history of the mansion visible to see or a pamphlet to take. The common areas were either devoid of paintings or just had a few of modern art pieces. This might sound picky, but we specifically booked here because of the history of place. I researched the federalist era and other styles and found it fascinating. I think other travelers would too.

The property was gorgeous and located in near everything.
-
Wish they had a liquor license and could do a cocktail hour in addition to a breakfast service. Wish they had just a tad more breakfast options. Really wish they had a key pad and front door access! LOVED the fire places in every room. Property manager was lovely and friendly. Loved the snacks available and variety.

There was no real ocean view. Staff seemed available by text. The breakfast wasn’t out until 8:00 so unfortunately we never got to experience it. The room was clean, bed comfortable but outlets in bathroom were a safety hazard as they smoked when using blow dryer and straightener. We liked the idea of this hotel. The price did not match our experience.
