Holiday Inn Portland-By the Bay by IHG

I love this hotel it was close to everything on the town and it was affordable I will stay there again .

Excellent location, room was very large and comfortable, nicer than many higher end properties

The staff was welcoming and respectful. The room was very clean and as described. It was a great relaxing stay for a one night stop over. I appreciated the parking situation and the courteous hosts and housekeeping.

We had a clean room with a great view of the water. Our hotel was centrally located and we were within walking distance of so many great local finds!

Summer prices are high, and the site seems to be undergoing some minor upgrades (but the toilet paper holder wasn’t attached, just laid on the vanity and parts of the doors weren’t fully painted, etc.) and we emptied our own trash in our three night stay.

Nothing. I only stayed there since my seminar was there. The first day there was no hot water and there was no communication from staff. I could not take a shower that night after driving 4 hours. The front desk said it should be on in the morning. There was no hot water. I was offered to shower in the gym. I told them that was unacceptable. Some rooms had hot water so I was offered to take a shower in that room and then return the key for the room. All the back and forth caused me to be late for the first seminar. When my co-worker checked in that morning, they never said anything about not having hot water and checked her in to a room that did not have hot water. All they offered was points and no discount off the price.

The ONLY issue we had was the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We called several times to be picked up. It never came. We ended up taking the public bus and walk several blocks to our hotel at the end of a very long travel day. Not ideal.

Breakfast not included and parking is extra ($20-$25??) Good restaurant

Everything was good It might not have been the hotel's fault, but we experienced an emergency with water supply. Also, the swimming pool does not have steps to enter inside when a person have problems with their knees.

Superb

The hotel room was in the same place as the conference I was attending. We did not have hot water for over 24 hours after check-in. We were never offered any compensation or other amenities. I was still charged $75 for parking for three days. The housekeeper did not make the bed on any of the three days I was there. Barely brought clean towels - always came after 5pm when I was about to head back to the room after the conference I was attending (at the hotel) ended. Not convenient. The parking lot spaces were very tight and hard to navigate - and I do not have a large vehicle.

The rooms were clean, the staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast was good every morning

Helpful staff and the shuttle to/from airport and back and forth from downtown was really great.

Great location, helpful staff. Breakfast not included however, great selection of buffet style breakfast with made to order omelets.

Very basic, towels had marks on them, no water bottles in rooms which for the price paid I thought was poor, only stayed one night, was glad to be moving on to other accommodation

The bathroom, particularly the shower and toilet were not as clean as in past visits. The garage spaces were few and so narrow, the average size car did not fit.

Front Desk staff were amazing made sure my family and I were well taken care of. The breakfast was phenomenal as well!
