My husband and I traveled with our daughter and son in law and 4 dogs. We were worried it would be a lot but hotel staff was so welcoming and friendly, offering the dogs treats and suggesting dog friendly restaurants to go to. The hotel was clean and very accommodating with our ‘pack’. We will definitely stay here again!

Very sketchy to walk down to the waterfront

The staff was not very nice or helpful during our stay.

I would recommend using valet parking and I wish I knew this ahead of time. I had prepaid for parking which turned out to be a garage in an adjacent building. I had to park, take the elevator down to the first floor, walk down a hallway, through a courtyard, through a side door, down another hallway to get to the lobby just to check in. There wasn’t good signage directing me which added to the frustration. Add to this that I was traveling with my dog and was put in the middle of the sixth floor even though I requested something on a low level near an exit to make walking my dog easier. This made it very stressful for me dog going up and down the elevators. On a lower floor I could have used the stairs. I learned that just because a hotel advertises pet friendly that only means that pets are allowed. This hotel is not “pet friendly “

I asked for staff to help with luggage upon checkout and nobody ever came. For the overpriced stay it was the worst we have been to. 10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend.

    Ok

Not a great location in Portland. Hotel staff was friendly enough but not overly helpful. The area is rundown. We witnessed homeless people using drugs on hotel property on multiple occasions. Disappointing since we’ve loved Portland over the years and had good luck at this hotel. Not worth the money, and would not recommend.

Breakfast option was very good providing full breakfast for $10. Shuttle was very helpful in getting around as parking difficult at most restaurants.

Very nice hotel and centrally located in Providence, I was able to easily walk everywhere that I wanted to go and they also provide a shuttle if needed. My only complaint is I was excited to try the Heavenly bed, and found it very uncomfortable which made for a couple nights of poor sleep.

The late night staff were fantastic! Especially the guy who checked us in .

Breakfast was fresh (highly recommend the corned beef hash and eggs!), served piping hot, and with bottomless coffee! I was a bit taken aback to see there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Other than that, the stay was wonderful! Comfortable bed, sufficient pillows, a well ventilated room, and some lovely staff members made for an outstanding experience.

The location is convenient for exploring Portland and the Old Port area on foot. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast quality was good. The hotel served as a practical base for our family weekend in Portland. The room was noticeably older and more worn than the photographs displayed on Booking.com and did not reflect the quality level expected for a property charging approximately $500 per night. We also experienced unnecessary complications regarding breakfast, which was included in our reservation but initially provided only for the adults. The issue should have been resolved easily, yet both reception and breakfast staff repeatedly questioned what was covered, creating an experience that felt unnecessarily transactional and not consistent with the service level expected from a Westin.

Very clean & comfortable. Staff at reception were not particularly competent nor helpful. Took four different credit cards being declined before the receptionist took our advice & suggested it was not our issue but a technical one - he moved to next terminal & surprise the card went through.
