Excellent property. Easy to find. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful in every respect. Great place. Would definitely return.

Loved our stay at the Francis! It was beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Very walkable location to restaurants and shopping. Close to sight seeing. Loved all the local touches.

Very pleasant and attentive staff, nice location and easy free-parking options. But the room was too small to contain a couple of large suitcases, and the mini fridge was so packed with minibar items that you couldn’t fit in one bottle of water. Being on the ground floor, we could hear the steps of the people in the room above us. Good, nice, but that’s it.

The staff was attentive to our every need and up to date on the local area. The Hotel is just west of the Arts District and has many neighborhood restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable and had a small reading area. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning from a local bakery. The room had a "pour-over" coffee pot with instructions that made some great coffee and an electric kettle for my wife to enjoy hot tea at any time of the day. Special shout-out to Devin at the front desk for his recommendations and assistance.

Building looked nice Small room, smoke alarm hanging from ceiling. Toilet placed 1 foot from wall on front of you. Only one glass for drinking from, no spoon to make coffee with, no bottle opener for mini bar, had to ask for hair dryer , very noisy from street ... and so it goes on Very very disappointing

This quaint little place was absolutely perfect for our girls trip. It was cozy, comfortable, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—exactly what we needed after a day of exploring. We especially loved the complimentary blueberry wine; such a thoughtful and fun Maine touch! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this charming place to anyone visiting the area.

Cool, historic hotel

The parking here is a problem. We had to leave our car a few buildings down, not close. Also elevator goes to 3rd floor, but then there’s steps which is hard with heavy luggage. It’s a little far from the action downtown would have liked to have been closer. Also on a really busy street, several fire sirens. Renovation is well done, rooms are large. The breakfast that is included comes to your room in a bag in the morning, which was odd and not warm.

We interacted with 3 staff members and service was professional, efficient and very helpful. Room and bed very comfortable and we especially liked the shower in room 202. Decent breakfast but don’t miss the bakery across the street. We would definitely book again!

The francis is a beautiful hotel. The staff are attentive and friendly. The amenities are next level, for example, the mini bar was full of local, Maine products at logical prices. I would definitely recommend!

The staff were super nice and welcomed us on arrival. Parking was plentiful and next to the building. The room was clean and big for our family. Breakfast was good just wished it was earlier than 9am. Overall very happy with our stay and highly recommend it!

Wonderful old building turned into a boutique hotel. Very comfortable and the location was great. For a longer stay ( we were there 3 nights) more variety at breakfast would be nice but for us it was fine. The restaurant next door was an unexpected bonus ( the food and staff were incredible). On site parking was also a plus.

The staff were very helpful and kind. Clean and spacious room. Cute bakery across the street and restaurants within walking distance. No floor mirrors in the rooms and no safes to lock up valuables. The road noise could be a little loud. The breakfast provided was average.

This is a nice hotel. It is very comfortable, clean. The rooms are unique and nice, yet feels homey. It is located near everything to do downtown yet didn't feel touristy. There's nothing I didn't like
