Decent location, close to a nice bakery. Stylish rooms Very expensive stay to have no concierge. It was basically a fancy Airbnb. We never saw a staff member. We were on the 3rd floor and there are of course no elevators. Limited parking spots and if you don't get one you have to deal with street parking. Hated the small shower. It was a corner shower with a curtain so close that it touches you. The labels on the soap dispensers were worn away so you couldn't tell what they were. If you leave the door to the shower cracked the fire alarm goes off from the steam (you're not supposed to have a fire alarm that close to a bathroom). They claim the hotel is a "Digital detox" and had no TV's in the rooms but just feels like a way to cheap out and not purchase TVs. Breakfast was very underwhelming. Just some overnight oats, underripe fruit and straight appel cider vinegar "shots". The ice machine was also not working. In addition, they claimed to not have my contact information and left my check in info (with the door code) tapped to the front door even though I received email and texts from them previously. Overall extremely underwhelmed by our stay. I typically like to pick smaller boutique hotels, but this one was a miss. Wish I had stay at one of the established chains instead.

The decor is beautiful and has a nice artistic vibe. Pulled together in a thoughtfully curated way. We appreciated that very much because we love interior design and art. I would have wished for more personal interaction from host. Breakfast was virtually empty. I guess many people like no contact, but I like people and would have loved more interaction with host. It is more helpful to get the lay of the land and find special places to go from talking with the host rather than relying on reviews and internet.

    Beautiful home

Excellent private boutique home, converted to hotel. No person greets you and there is no welcome desk. You put in a code on the door to enter and instructions are given via text. No elevator and 3 stories, so keep that in mind. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Gorgeous rooms that were well considered. Enjoyed the snacks and the spacious property. Very calm.

It was quiet and private. We were in the front bedroom on the 2nd floor. It needed some refreshing and updating. We stayed at one of their other hotels in Salem, Mass that was much nicer and better breakfast selections.

Two flights of stairs to climb. Limited off street parking.

Conveniently located. Really felt like you were a local. Easy in and out with easy parking. Yummy breakfasts delivered at a time designated by you. Could store stuff in the fridge to save / reheat for later. Walls were thin.

Beautiful place to stay in the middle of a quiet street and walking distance to many spots. The rooms and common areas were clean and beautifully maintained. Staff was ready to answer any questions you had via phone or text. I loved this inn and would choose it again. Definitely recommend it !

Loved staying at the blind tiger. Very centrally located and absolutely gorgeous throughout. So many thoughtful extras. The bed was super comfortable with lovely sheets and linens. Staff was super friendly. The text system works perfectly so communication is easy but you feel like you staying in a lovely home instead of a hotel. Can’t wait to return

Highly recommend! The decor is just as beautiful IRL as it is in the photos. It is a guesthouse so there’s no 24/7 staffing but the staff member I met preparing breakfast was so kind and helpful so there’s still very much a human touch! The breakfasts are served in little picnic baskets outside of your room with delicious coffee and fresh fruit. You can also text them anytime and they’re super responsive - our room had a minor issue and it was solved as soon as we let them know. The location is also great, walking distance to some lovely cafes and shopping areas. All the access are with simple codes so checking in was easy and you don’t have to fuss with key cards. Pricing was very reasonable for the area so I felt like there was great value! Would definitely stay here again - thank you! Nothing

Given there's no staff onsite, questions and communication are all remote, leading to delay in response. Rooms were cold and heating was hard to adjust.

Beautiful, large house in a great historic residential neighborhood very close to downtown, but seperate enough to feel quiet and relaxed. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet nicely done, fire going in the fireplace in the morning was really a nice touch. Parking very easy in the provided area. Bedroom large and bed and bedding very comfortable. Bathroom great with a large walkin shower. Nothing!

The Inn is artsy beautiful, comfortable, quiet. The one fellow on the premises - Aaron - was fabulous and helpful. The host would check in via text to see how we were doing - we felt cared for and safe and wonderfully on our own too. We LOVED everything! The seamless checking in process, the beauty and comfort, the close location to stores, the snacks, the comfy bed! There was nothing to dislike!

comfortable room and willingness to move us to companion hotel when power went out. breakfast uninspiring no material on getting around Portland, no city map.

Adorable spot in Portland, great location, really cool concept. Felt like an upgraded vacation rental. You don’t have the whole place to yourself but it basically feels like it. Check in and everything was seamless. The local recommendations, games, and snacks were a nice touch. We loved plays scrabble and drinking wine in the parlor. We do wish some items were a bit nicer given the cost. The bathroom could've had nicer facilities (cheap toilet seat, low water pressure) our bed was a rickety. The breakfast delivered was a nice touch but the contents itself kinda fell flat, not as curated as the website made it seem. Overall we still enjoyed our stay and the concept, but the website may have upsold it a bit.
