We skipped breakfast because we have dietary restrictions and didn’t communicate in advance, plus are very early risers and generally were he on our way out at breakfast time or before. This was a splurge for a birthday trip and it was worth it. The only improvement might be switching away from what seems like microfiber sheets - they really retain heat, which might be nice in winter but in summer is a bit rough. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family.

Staff was excellent. Do not skip the breakfast, it was fantastic. Communication was good.

Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Well-appointed rooms and thoughtful touches throughout the common areas. Delicious breakfast made to order. Kind and positive staff.

Did not really like the property. Room 5 was in the attic space up 2 flights of small hot staircases. The Room was underwhelming. No mini fridge for drinks or TV. Small ac unit in the only and already small window. Nothing that would distinguish this as a deluxe room. No designated parking other than the street.

Overpricred. Rooms could be cleaner. Decent location. Rooms need some work. No elevator to third floor. Difficult to carry luggage up stairs.

We stayed in the facility on Neal Street. It was absolutely beautiful! We appreciated the amenities and what was offered. The innkeeper/chef and wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious! I appreciated that the inn was in a quiet neighborhood, but was close to downtown Portland as well. I wish there was a TV in the room. I do like to watch TV before going to sleep. I know not everyone would agree with that. I was able to survive without it. Ha ha!

Overall amazing experience! The breakfast each morning was delicious, the staff very friendly and kind, lots of delicious snacks available 24/7, comfortable and clean space, and great location. We loved how it felt very neighborhoodly and it was a short walk to the Old Port area. Not in the center of the hussle and bussle which was very nice! Would definitely recommend!

Great location, great bed, breakfast delicious and host very kind Just part of the historic architecture but Room was a bit tight with vaulted ceilings & up 2 flights of stairs with luggage.

Very pretty room, great breakfast and super friendly staff. I like the living room space with games and the pantry Nothing

Safe neighborhood and walking distance to Old Port. Breakfast was served in another inn across from ours, a short walking distance. The weather was fine so it was convenient to walk over to the beautiful Neal street location. The chef was so kind and welcoming, taking our orders personally and preparing & presenting them beautifully. Our bed was terribly soft, almost like a waterbed which was very uncomfortable. Also the Grand King Suite room #5 was all the way up. We had to climb two sets of staircases divided by a heavy door which made it impossible to carry even small things to our room such as two cups of water with both hands, let alone our luggage. We didn’t get one of the three parking spaces available for guests on Neal Street location, so we did street parking and got a fine. It was only $20 and we were warned about it by West End Inn but it is not a good feeling when you find a parking ticket on your windshield first thing on your way to breakfast.

It’s a clean, beautiful space in a cute neighborhood. Good restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was made to order and quite tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and facilities. Staff were kind and attentive throughout, breakfast was great every morning, and the neighborhood is beautiful. A gem

The property is beautiful - the decor, the floor coverings, the wall hangings were all really gorgeous. Breakfast was a really nice surprise. There was an actual menu to order from and the meals were wonderfully prepared and beautiful looking. There was some confusion about which of the two buildings we were staying in and very poor communication about where we were actually supposed to be. The room itself was pretty small and had no source of heat or at least none that we could figure out. There weren’t any extra blankets. We didn’t receive any information when we arrived, so that was lacking.
-
The location was perfect, we could easily walk to many of the places we wanted to go. Milan and other staff were so kind and accommodating and the breakfast each morning was excellent.

The bed was as hard as a rock and lumpy. My niece slept on the floor because it was at least not lumpy.

Wonderful staff and scrumptious breakfast
