Value Locked all the time raises concerns about safety issues. Even lobby bathroom locked!!!

The pool and hot tub. There’s a lot of little birds outside that need fresh water. They were drinking hot tub water off the pavement A lot of the floaties needed air in them

The property is really nice and well kept. The pool was beautiful and inviting.

Big rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff. Great value for money. The surrounding area is not great, but so long as you know that beforehand, you’ll be fine.
-
Was a bad sign when you had to be buzzed in to the main entrance. Front desk staff were unpleasant, and surprised fees were high. Cant speak to the rooms, decided it was a better use of my money to lose out on my reservation than risk my car being broken into.
-
It was nice and clean and the pool is nice the fact it was outside! I enjoyed the property needing a key to enter for the guests safety. Just the area it was in there are a lot of druggies.

Over the last 10 years I've probably have stayed at 12 different hotels in the Portland Oregon area and this by far was the most pleasant

They said no smoking in the room when I checked in. I don’t smoke. When I walked into the room, 121, it not only smelled like smoke, it smelled like mold. Also there were knots flying around in my face all night. Expedia was lame and only gave me a $30 credit. They should have given me a full refund.

Close to the airport! Front desk staff when I checked out were not friendly. The night staff was .

Room was little tight but clean. Good breakfast

I first went to pony soldier Hotel 11 years ago and it was probably three star. But in the last 11 years it has become rundown. Our room, the sink wouldn’t drain, but very, very slowly, the toilet tissue holder broke while we were there, and the place didn’t smell good. Breakfast was OK but boring. And the dog potting area was downstairs and inconvenient.

The shuttle to and from the airport worked well. Breakfast was alright. In the middle of the night a family with young kids were wide awake and making quite some noise.

We didn't end up staying there because they falsley advertised that they were a pet friendly hotel-which is why I booked it, but failed to say anywhere they they don't take cats in the busy season. I called to check on this, and was told that this was the case, so I asked for my money back, they told me to call Booking-you can't get in touch with Booking. I only booked this hotel because it said it was pet friendly, no other reason.

Lupe on the front desk was accommodating, helpful and not discriminatory. There was also this lady in the front desk she ha a blond hair who is equally helpful and nice. Garry the driver who took us to the airport was also kind. Your staff for continental breakfast were also nice and helpful. Housekeeping staff were also good. The only one who we encountered that was not pleasant was when we arrived last July 27th was the lady on the front desk she was not friendly and rude. No affirmative information. She just said just answer yes or no to her question and abruptly dismiss us. Not nice.

Front Desk was friendly. Hotel was very clean and homey.
-
Our room was fairly quiet the first 2 nights. The third night someone above us was up all night walked, dropping things. Not sure what was going on

Chose this hotel solely for the PDX convenience and the reviews. It sits in a blue color neighborhood with a front door locked entry, for extra security. It’s wedged at a major hwy intersection which u can’t hear, a low income rv park, and a neighborhood. Oregon is a liberal state so be aware homelessness and drug usage is a common visual but, we felt completely safe at this hotel.
