Econo Lodge Portland Airport

The hotel in not in a great area, when we arrived there were homeless people hanging around the parking lot. The room was clean, but the outside and area around was sketchy.

They kept calling and telling us we had to switch rooms for maintenance knowing we had book the room for 5 days, told us we would get a discounted on our next stay even tho i wouldn’t go back and wasn’t even from the state

I was asked to leave my driver license up at the office and told I could get it back without issue when I check out. I was called and woken up at 7am. When I went to check out I asked for license back which the staff initially refused to give me back.

And I did not get hot water in the morning.

The room was really a king suite. Spacious, furnished, and well-arranged.

I got charged twice,ppl in and out all night hookers in and out

Quiet, clean, and comfortable.

The fridge froze my drink which exploded, there seemed to be blood splatters on the wall, the mirror was not clean at all and it was very dark in the room both things made it very difficult to get ready for the day. There was not a stopper in the sink, etc.

Staff was polite. Rough area.

Smelled like smoke in the room. Sheets were not clean.

Will stay there again, when visiting or flying out of Portland. Thank you!

I like that the location was right around highway corners. It was also close to areas we were going to or close to the exits that took us on our far adventures. It was great that it was right next to the airport. I did not like that random people kept knocking at our rooms multiple days in the middle of the night between 3am and 6am. They were non-smoking rooms but still smelled. Someone let their dog pee in the elevator so we didn't use it anymore, even though it was cleaned up later. We had to change rooms right away because the a/c didn't work and we were not going to struggle. Plus the dresser in that room was broken.

Gal at check-in window was very pleasant. They presented much nicer pictures than the actual property has. Not their fault, but this section of town has succumbed to the homeless/drug epidemic that lefties seem to thrive on. Got up first morning to watch a couple in the parking lot cooking/shooting up. I didn't feel in danger, but the facilities look worn down and filthy - pictures presented a much nicer facility. No breakfast. Front desk was closed down, checking-in happened at a security window - that should give you an indication.

Nothing fancy, just a decent place to stay.
