Holiday Inn Airport - Portland by IHG

The only problem is that they charged me 104 for nothing. I am having a hard time getting my refund.

The room with the suite was a nice perk but it definitely had its issues. The coffee maker didn’t work while plugged into the outlet and had to move it across the room to use it. The main suite area lights didn’t turn on with the switch or manually. The bathroom is definitely a little outdated and I didn’t need to use the shower, but looking at it, there were hairs visible. I can add that the pillows and the bed were very comfortable. I would recommend you track with an eye mask and ear buds or a small speaker to drown out the car/ traffic/freight train noise. The windows were most definitely not sound proof. Most importantly, the tv was not easy at all to navigate. I’m technologically savvy and I couldn’t figure out how to get the Google Chromecast to work. This is after I discovered it was unplugged from the HDMI port. I couldn’t change the language of the menu from Chinese. It was just a little frustrating. Overall, I appreciate the layout and the pool / gym area and the staff was very friendly !!!

Great gym, pool, and people. The shuttle is amazing.

The property looks nice from the outside. The lobby and main areas were clean and looked good. However the actual room was in desperate need of a remodel. Carpet was severely dated, had stains and sticky areas and spots where it was pulling up. Bed and bathroom were clean. Parking is not included in the nightly rate which is ridiculous. Staff was friendly.

Clueless staff. Rooms weren’t ready when they said they would be. Was a massive inconvenience for us as we were on a schedule for work.

The hotel served its purpose and it did offer a helpful, free shuttle to the airport. Biggest complain was the terrible service at the so-called restaurant. We had a couple of drinks and ordered a hot pretzel to go along with them. Took a long time for drinks to arrive and cancelled pretzel order after waiting far too long for something that simple.

Great place to stay before a flight. Camped for 4 nights before our stay, so this was very refreshing. Comfortable beds. Easy shuttle.

Since there was no room service available, I went downstairs to purchase a bottle of champagne. I went directly to the bar and waited for approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Another guest was waiting to close his tab, and when the employee finally came over, she assisted him. Immediately afterward, another guest walked up to the bar, and she took his order before helping me, even though I had been waiting much longer. I remained patient and understanding throughout the entire interaction. When it was finally my turn, I asked for a bottle of champagne. I was told the only option available was Cook's. I then asked if there was any prosecco, but was told they were out. I followed up by asking if they had any other sparkling white wine. Before the employee could answer, a table behind me interrupted to ask for another glass of wine. Rather than finishing our conversation or politely asking them to wait, the employee completely shifted her attention to them and ignored me. At that point, I simply walked away. After waiting so long and repeatedly being overlooked, I felt ignored and disregarded as a guest. While I understand restaurants can get busy and I always try to be patient, basic acknowledgment and courteous service go a long way. I enjoyed my stay here a lot. We only stayed one night. I really appreciate that they have a 24/7 shuttle service from the airport because our plan arrived at midnight and it was perfect for us. Check in and out was easy. The bed was comfortable. Also I thought the dove lotion they provided smelled great.

We stayed here due to location being close to the airport for our early flight. No complaints. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Food on-site was good.

Not terribly quiet because you are near a major highway. If you are used to sleeping with highway noise then it’s a perfect place to stay.

we checked in, went to our room on the 3rd floor, but there were suitcases in the room. Whether someone hadn't checked out or staff had simply put bags from storage into the wrong room we don't know but returned to the desk and they assigned us another room - on the 6th floor this time. Room was fine except the body lotion (liquid soap) was out in the container in the shower. We ordered a couple burgers for dinner - they were fine - but my side salad came along with my wife's burger and her fries didn't come. I had to go back to where the cash register was to remind the wait person and get both my burger and my wife's fries delivered to our table. Also there was a very slight small of old dog urine in the carpet on my side of the single bed - not a bad smell but it was there. Easy to get to the airport for our 6:30am flight out. It was okay overall but don't think we'll be staying there again in the future

I hated paying for parking. No one staying there should pay for parking.

The hotel temperature was very warm - making it difficult to enjoy our meal at the restaurant.

Hotel is in dire need of some maintenance. My room was on the ground floor and the privacy curtain overlooking the parking lot was damaged which made it hard to draw closed. I reported it to the staff but it did not get fixed. Also shower leaked and carpet was dirty and stretched to the point that the wrinkles were a trip hazard. They charged $19.00 for the standard breakfast buffet most hotels throw in for free.

Loved how close it was to the airport.

There were some cleanliness issues with the shower and the whole overall bathroom. The restaurant was extremely understaffed and the only server/bartender was very open to explain how new management has impacted their life. I also feel for her experience of allergies since moving to Oregon. It took 35 min to get a burger to go and the salad didn’t have dressing. The staff at the front desk also seemed overwhelmed, but extremely professional. It’s within great proximity to the airport and although the free shuttle was 10 minutes late, I made my flight with ease due to the hotels 2 hour early suggesting.
