avid hotel Corpus Christi - Portland by IHG

Room was clean but lots of abuse was seen on the walls and in the bathroom where previous guests had stained the walls. It is a relatively new hotel and most areas were nice and maintained. Great A/C and wonderful breakfast. Nice staff.

Room was clean. However, we were woke up an hour after we went to sleep with someone trying to come into our room. Thankfully I had the door stop on so they couldn't come in fully!!! Scared the crap out of me and my daughter. I think the hotel was overbooked and they were checking rooms but there was a better way to do that than try to come in the room.

Clean rooms, cold air, everything was good as expected

Great for my one night stay, had everything you need and it was clean. I slept great and had breakfast. Breakfast was pretty basic but filling.

We stayed for a week and it worked out fine but definitely bare bones.

Also, I noticed a guy who I know was not a guest, drive up to hotel and park… walked straight to the breakfast area. Helped himself to a topped plateful of food/orange juice and left… I brought this to the attn to the young man whose name was “Rush”…he acted surprised. Needs to be off cell and be more watchful. All the staff in the reception area was just laid back on their cells…NOT a good impression whatsoever.

Great for a weekend trip. Room was small but bearable, lobby smelled like dogs, breakfast continuously ran out and had to wait 30 mins for next round, no pool, pet friendly so heard dogs whining or barking all night but overall was still a great stay. LOVED the Dove body wash/shampoo/conditioner.

We stayed in a king room on the first floor. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE!!! Staff was very nice and helpfull when needed. I love the fresh coffee available 24/7 as I'm an extremely early riser. Room was nice and cool when we walked in.

The shower glass was not very clean nor was the shower base. There seemed to be rust or something of that sort on the caulking. Most of it was painted over and peeling. The hallway carpets were not very clean at all. Nice facility but definitely needs a serious walkthrough and needs some touchy up. Maybe more handy & cleaning staff. As the City of Portland continues to grow you’re going to need to be top tier. Thanks

Rush at the front desk was great!

The hotel and lobby were excellent. Unfortunately the hotel wi-fi was sub par and kicks you off. Shower gel was totally empty so housekeeping isn't checking things as they should. Over all, I would stay there again if I don't mind these inconveniences.

To begin, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional hospitality and welcoming atmosphere provided by the staff. The property was immaculately clean and exuded a pleasant aroma. I was particularly delighted by the complimentary coffee and tea service, as well as the daily availability of breakfast and happy hour. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and anticipate returning to it during my future visits to Portland, Texas.

Room service was late and didn’t even make the room the next morning. We left our dirty towels hanging in hopes they would replace them with clean ones. We went out for the entire day including a beach trip just to come back to NO towels. They took our dirty ones and didn’t replace them.

Breakfast was ok. For a busy holiday weekend they should have been more prepared for a larger crowd with families coming down for Breakfast. The room was clean but the people upstairs was very loud. Told the front desk but not much was done. Overall the hotel was ok and clean.

We had a quick getaway and really enjoyed our stay. Our corner room was clean and basic, but nice, quiet, and had a great, comfortable bed. The 24-hour coffee and tea service in the lobby was a wonderful perk! The hotel was busy due to its close proximity to Corpus, but it was still very easy to get to. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful, and accommodating. Best of all, the cost is very family-friendly. Highly recommend!

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful from check-in through check-out. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options and was a great way to start the day. I also appreciated the convenient location—it was close to restaurants and only a short drive from Corpus Christi. I was in town for new-hire onboarding at CHRISTUS Health, and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Corpus Christi/Portland area.

The only issue is that I wish breakfast went a little later than 9:30, but otherwise amazing value spot for anyone visiting Portland or Corpus! Will come back again.
