Port Inn and Suites Portsmouth, an Ascend Collection Hotel

There was no information provided or available in the room regarding things such as breakfast times, hours of the pool, or local things to do/places to eat. While the cleaning staff were pleasant, the front desk clerk was not friendly and not helpful. No towels at the pool, and a giant wad of hair stuck to the side of the shower was discovered during our initial use. Maintenance on things such as the pool is overduue. Nothing absolutely horrible, but will spend our money elsewhere next time.

The room was of a nice size and very comfortable. Though quite near a busy road, there was absolutely no intrusive sound. The temperature control was simple to operate and otherwise satisfactory. The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool looked very nice. Not luxurious but certainly more than adequate for a restful night.

The hotel room was fairly clean but when we came in it was very damp, it looks like there was water damage on the ceiling and there was mold in the bathtub/shower. We didn’t get one of the nicer rooms shown on the website. We asked if there were any other rooms available and were told it was fully booked (it could’ve been but there was a lack of cars in the parking lot so not sure). Probably won’t stay here again, I thought the room would’ve been nice for the price. If we could’ve gotten a refund I would have and gone somewhere else.

By far the best place we have encountered that is pet friendly and close to everything! Definitely would stay here again .

Breakfast was fair. Room service eas by request. Towels and such were at front desk. Big concern was the room floor. I brought new flip flops to wear in room only; as slippers. The bottoms are now black/very dirty. I can send pic.

The staff was great! This is our 2nd time staying here. We will be back again next year!

We were charged $151 by Expedia and when we checked in we were charged an additional $121. The staff was snippy and Un responsive stating it was just a hold charge but my husband told her it went thru as a sale and she wouldn’t do anything basically saying it was our problem.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and breakfast was everything we needed.

We had a nice stay here, bed was comfortable and pool was clean and heated!!

Convenient location and reasonable price. Quiet. Room floor was very dirty. Air-conditioning did not work. Ran out of hot breakfast.

Nice to have flooring instead of carpets. Staff at front desk was professional and nice. Granted it was a summer weekend but $300 a night was way too much for what this is, which is a decent motel. Breakfast sucked.
