Port Inn and Suites Portsmouth, an Ascend Collection Hotel

King size bed was a bit firm. Breakfast did not appeal to me. All else was good.

We stayed for 4 nights. Room was clean and having a mini kitchen was a bonus! The pool area was nice. There was a designated smoking area that had a couple of tables and seating areas. I’m a non-smoker (traveled with a smoker) and found the area a great place to sit and chat. There were barely any smokers around. We met some great travelers; there was a nice vibe about the place. Staff are great- super helpful.

This was a hidden gem! Felt authentic and cozy and front desk staff were so welcoming. The pool was perfect and relaxing. Breakfast wasn’t huge but it took the rumble away until I could get to the lobster! Would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean except for black dog hair on the sheets. Break f ast was only served until 9am. Extending that till 11am would make me happy. Im on vacation! Im not getting up at the Crack of dawn for a free breakfast.

A clean specious room in a nice motel style inn. A driving distance to town.

Older property. Great location, staff friendly. Had to wait for room to be cleaned after check in. Room not cleaned or towels freshened up during stay, that was the only disappointment

Bare bones place to spend the night. Nothing much to talk about. Bed was clean though bathroom left much to be desired. We had a kitchenette but the pots were all scratched up - unusable, drawers were falling apart and fridge was leaking.

Our room the first night was not so great. It was damp and musty smelling. We noticed that water was seeping up between the joints on the laminate flooring. Our room (#124) was at ground level and it had rained earlier that day. We asked to be moved to a different room, preferably 2nd floor. They were fully booked that night and could not accommodate our request, but offered to move us for the second night. We agreed and the second night they moved us to a 2nd floor room with a kitchenette at no additional charge. The front desk staff(day and night) were very helpful and kind. The property is older with some improvements over the years, but definitely needs more attention. The pool was warm and clean. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The location was good for what we wanted to do(beach and dining).

A decent hotel for the price in the Portsmouth area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok Price was a little high, but for the area ok.

Room good

The staff were wonderful—very pleasant and courteous. They always greeted us with a smile, saying hello and wishing us a good day, which really stood out. Breakfast was good overall, though the eggs were a bit too salty (which seems to be common at many hotels). Also, the sink water got extremely hot, so we had to be a little cautious using it. One small suggestion would be to keep an eye on the pool area during busy times. There was a larger group that appeared to be together who were drinking alcohol, and there was also some smoking happening closer to the building than expected. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and friendliness of the staff.
