Holiday Inn Express Boston South - Quincy by IHG

Very clean and nice hotel

But... this time, the floors seemed a little sticky. And, they've reduced room cleaning/straightening to every other day; we don't need new towels and sheets every day, but it would be nice if they made the bed. Worse, the mattress in our room (504) had a huge trough! Needs to be flipped, or replaced.

Everyone staff was nice and friendly. Great set. Room was clean.

Breakfast was good- staff helpful.

Pros: free parking, complementary buffet breakfast, AC runs good, decent room size, there’s a fridge, microwave, and a small safe. Close to train(the Red line) 30-40 min ride to Downtown; walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, safe neighbourhood to walk. Cons: carpet in room was dirty with a bad smell; water pressure was low. An incident happened on the first morning we were there: I was in the first floors women’s bathroom. It’s not labeled an “all gendered bathroom”. A male staff came inside with a stack of paper towels telling me he was to restock. He didn’t knock; and didn’t leave when he saw me inside. Management should be aware and reinforce customer’s safety and privacy.

The only negative was they didnt clean our room I dont know why.

The location was good - very close to the Red Line which quickly got us to Park Street, Boston. The breakfast was fine. Service was non existent. Beds were made (or some semblance of made), and towels changed. But nothing was restocked - coffee, tissues, disposable cups. Ice bucket was not changed. I needed an extra blanket and after calling down three times in an hour I got one myself at the front desk. We called down for help with a matter and no one ever got back to us. I found the bed very uncomfortable, it bounced like an air mattress. I’ll add that I am not a fussy sleeper.

Decent Location and quickly accessible. Spacious room. Earlier breakfast start time could be considered which can be useful for people leaving between 6-7.

Parking was limited and had to park on a no parking spot within the hotel premises since we reach late.

The breakfast was GREAT! Good choices and lots of fruit. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. It was also close to food and shopping, so I was able to pick up necessities and grab dinner. Didn't love the paid parking or no bar soaps, but not a big deal. It was a bit expensive, but it seemed to be the going rate for the area.

Nice property close to the city, restaurants and Target. Staff was great. Would book again.

Ice machine didn't work

Travis at the front desk is super nice and when my room didn't have a blow dryer he got the team to send me up a brand new one. I'm not sure the hotel has recovered from World Cup fans yet. Location is good.

The room was great. It was near a grocery store with in walking distance. Hot breakfast was good. Location was near the freeway. Just outside the city of Boston. Children running around the floor knocking on doors. The bathrooms downstairs near the fitness center were both clogged. I had to return to my room.

Location was easy to get to on the train from Boston South - just 12 minutes or so. There for the World Cup so ideal Breakfasts weren't great - but goes for all of USA actually so not just this particular hotel!
