It is a 13 minute drive to Dinosaur Park (highly recommend this - it’s free and has a great gift shop!). 40 minute drive to Mount Rushmore. Conveniently right next to a Walmart and Target

Our room was clean, the hotel was well taken care of, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Great hotel. However, disappointed because Hotels.com advertised the there were 2king beds and a couch in the room, and there was actually no such thing. They only have 2 queen beds rooms.

When more than one person is staying in the room it would be nice to have a Folding Suitcase rack but I know they probably get stolen. There was hair in the bathtub and the sink faucet didn’t have much water pressure. The Closed Captioning did not work correctly on the TV. (Were not in the room all that much so just turned the volume up hoping not to disturb other rooms.)

Hot tub was broken, the whole pool area was in desperate need of upgrade, maintenance. Short staffed, rude staff. Refused to let us check in early, as we got caught in the rain and were soaking wet. Location was not good. Breakfast was always running out of things. Took all day to get 2 extra towels, asked at 7am. Asked at 3pm. Asked again at 5pm and finally handed me 2 towels.

At check-in and check-out we waited for assistance and had to seek out staff in the dining area to come to the front desk. The individual checking us in at night made it clear that customer service was not her specialty.

I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. The room was ready and clean as was the bathroom. The breakfast ok…nothing that stood out. I was disappointed that there was no water dispenser or pitcher available when we checked out. Leaving the key cards in the bin made checking out quick.

Great location for getting prepped for a road trip west. Walmart close by. Bed was cozy and breakfast in the morning was plentiful.

Unfortunately, there were some issues during our stay. My husband, who has Alzheimer’s, stepped on something while barefoot in our room and cut his foot. We couldn’t find what caused the injury at the time, but after returning home, an ER doctor removed a small piece of glass from his foot. This suggests the room may not have been vacuumed thoroughly. I also requested fresh towels daily, but that never happened. I eventually had to flag down housekeeping and exchange the towels myself. The complimentary breakfast was adequate but became repetitive after a week and offered few healthy choices. While there were aspects of our stay we enjoyed, better housekeeping and room cleaning would have improved the experience considerably.

No hot items left on breakfast bar and we couldn’t wait for more to be prepared as we were in a time crunch.

Typical breakfast, but staff did not restock the hot food. Just had cereal and toast. Rooms are spacious. I would suggest the hotel to purchase better pillows
