The motel had several ppl around their rooms some with doors open or sitting outside their room. Entering my room I noticed an old lime in the sink drain along with fruit flies. The room is very dated but beds were comfy. I had an issue with the door lock, ask manager how to work it upon check in. There was enough clean towels for my stay and the bathroom itself was clean. Very basic and close enough to walk and venture out. If I had to I would stay again.

Nice location and the staff is great but it is in serious need of some maintenance. There was an 1/2” gap under our door and it was an exterior door. There isn’t even an ice machine or coffee in the rooms.

We checked the room out and it was not a good place. We did not stay nor were we offered our money back. The picture online did not reflect what we actually saw.

The rooms on the other hand were horrible. The furniture inside looked like it had been bought at a garage sale. In one of the broken drawers of the dresser, we found the smoke detector. There was no door on the bathroom so if you like privacy, forget it. It wasn’t exactly in the best part of town.

The sign for the front was broken so I thought the property was abandoned at first. The caretaker was incredibly friendly and the lobby had cats, so that was nice. The other tenants of the building are boisterous, but friendly enough. While it's definitely a downscale/scuzzy sort of place, it didn't feel uncomfortable to stay.

Better than expected given some negative reviews. The registration clerk was excellent in solving issues and very pleasant

The pool is out of service. The attendant we hardly at the desk. Called 3 times, no answer so left messages to see if we could check in early. Never a call back since we got there first. The place in not kept up. Bathroom nozzle in the tub is coming out of the wall. You have to ask her for ice too since no ice making machine. We got out of there quick the next morning and changed our stay to Travelodge.

Look for good price deal, else you have better options.

I must mention the employees working at this hotel. They are all so nice whether the lady stopped working and went to the lobby room to give me coffee or the young housekeeper gave me extra soup. Their smiles were genuine.

Clean but a little worse for wear. Close to town. This is good for folks on a budget.

The new owner was nice. The new owner was nice, but wasn't open when we arrived at 430pm. She got there within 5 minutes of calling the number. The pool was not working and empty. The shower hot water took about 10 mins to get luke warm and toilet didn't flush well. No ice machine available, but owner brought us a small bag when asked. There were permanent residents that lived there full time and were really shady looking. The owner said they are working on fixing the issues from past owner and the permanent residents are out by the end of the month. The posted pictures are very old. Looks nothing like it

Had to search for someone to check me in. Took about 1/2 hour. Everything was dilapidated. Room was just ok. Tv had only 3 channels. Smoking is apparently allowed so I breathed tobacco fumes all night. Spent one night and paid to cancel the next two nights. Better to pay more for a decent motel.

The room itself was semi clean. The sink dripped underneath every time you used it. The towels were out in the room by the sink and the toilet and tub are in the bathroom itself. There were no doors on a lot of of the rooms. The bed was extremely lumpy and so was the pillow. Pool was not open. Air-conditioning was loud and not always accurate.

    Comfortable bed, helpful, friendly staff.

The location is ideal for walking Rapid City's downtown; and it was a great value for a city hotel. This is a value priced hotel in downtown Rapid City; it was considerabley less to stay here. It does not have all the amenities of most hotels and it is a bit worn down. But it was what we expected and it did it's job; a place to crash after checking out several breweries in DT Rapid City

Got to the motel around 8:30 to 9 PM. Door was locked with a piece of paper taped to the door, instructing me to call a number for help. I did, multiple times. No answer whatsoever. I had to find alternate arrangements.

The room was small but incredible value. Clean, comfortable bed, it had everything we needed! No breakfast, but that was expected.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

The location was perfect for where we needed to be. Very simple, reasonably priced rooms.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. There was no breakfast and the ice machine had mold in the ice! I also noticed they advertise a pool and there was no pool there so they need to remove that and breakfast from their marketing online

It was fine for what I was looking for, a one night stay during the Sturgis Rally There was no hot water. Not a big deal since it was a one night stay. I’m sure it would have been resolved if I’d stayed longer.
