The best hotel in Redondo Beach by far !!

Just perfect

Our room was incredibly damp, to the point where the bedding felt wet, as did the towels and carpet. The room had an awful smell of damp. We had arrived so late at night from a 12 hour flight that we were too tired to go through the effort of changing rooms but then found we could not sleep, so only managed less than two hours sleep and got up before dawn and left. Tried to shower before leaving but no shower gel in dispenser. Hotel saying it is down to humidity in the air due to the weather. Am now staying in a different hotel nearby and no problems. Same weather. At the time of check out, the manager said perhaps there was a problem with the air conditioning or that someone had left it on all day and it caused the dampness. Overall an unpleasant stay and could not wait to leave.

Had a very nice view. Corridor to rooms was uninviting. Valet was pointless for size of parking lot. Felt sticky. There is a lack for attention to detail for a “4” star hotel.

Room was large and clean with great view and balcony. Was perfect. Sofa bed worked great and everyone enjoyed the restaurant and the walk to the beach. Pool also was a hit.

Awesome stay!!

It’s a nice hotel, but the room smelled a bit musty. Probably a result of being on the water. The view was beautiful, and the balcony was great. One thing that was missing though which seemed a bit odd nowadays was there was no makeup/magnifing mirror in the bathroom. There was a dedicated makeup remover towel, but no mirror. Guess they just want you to take it off and not put it back on.

Some drawbacks, such as the bed was not very firm, pool was small, happy hour only in the restaurant (great deal, but not to bring to pool or room), and one day our room was not tidied/re-stocked (granted - we had the do not disturb signal on for 3 hours... but then followed it with a 'housekeeping please' sign for the following 6). You also feel a little exposed on the main floor as there is a public sidewalk right past your patio. Lol - first world problems Overall we would probably stay there again

Amenities stacked, spacious clean room, love the LED bar, thank you Abby & Ortiz.

We stayed at Shade for one night with our 6 month old baby. The room was spacious and has a great marina view. We loved the bath tub on the balcony which we were able to enjoy after our baby fell asleep. They provided a crib, some bathing supplies, and a cute robe for our baby. We dined at their Sea Level restaurant which took long to get seated but once seated, service was great. During dinner, our baby got fussy and need to sleep so the staff helped us move our food to our room so we could finish in there instead. Overall we really enjoyed the experience.
