Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Scott’s Addition

There was a sour odor the minute you walked into the lobby. Never disappeared for the three nights we were there. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and large.

Had an excellent experience. Newer hotel. Some covered parking and an interesting developing area. Staff was very helpful and the room was very comfortable with nice clean bedding. Would highly recommend. Had an excellent meal nearby at Pinky’s.

We love every aspect

Close to fire station so you would hear the sirens often, shared parking with apartments so parking was limited the “restaurant “ on site had limited hours and upon arriving and using the toilet it was clogged with feces and toilet paper

Everything was fine, check in with was easy, nice workout in the am

Our room was neat and clean. The staff was very knowledgeable when asked about places for dinner. The staff was friendly. Great experience!

The room was very nice

Location was good but the hotel (room) could use some updating (mold spots on the ceiling, sunken in mattress, heavily stained counter, dirty fridge). Overall the room was nice but definitely wouldn’t be back due to the issues noted.

It was a nice place nothing bad to say if you're just looking for a room and a safe nice place to stay

Really nice interior of hotel!

I like the location (Very close to the VMFA building complex. I liked my room with the corner view. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about how to get to the VMFA building & places around the Hotel. I wish there were more local places to eat around the hotel. it seemed kinda "Out there" in a neighborhood with out much in the way of local eateries. Also, the male Concierge was very friendly and helpful, I but couldn't see his name tag due to his, long locks over the name tag. I suggest he move it to the other side.

Arrived and no one was in the lobby or at the desk. We waited a while then finally found someone. A man with huge fake breasts came out, didn't acknowledge us other than asking for ID and credit card. Made no eye contact. Handed us the room key and that was it. Worst customer service we've experienced at a hotel. Also parking on Expedia is listed at $12, but hotel had a handwritten sign saying parking was $15. Definitely staying somewhere else next time we're in area.

I currently still havent get my money back.

Cafe food was very good, taste & quantity. We arrived late in day, disappointed in room when spotted past occupants left over towel on bathroom floor & left over food in fridge,
