Hermitage Hotel Richmond Virginia

Dirty and neglected. Room smelled like a chain smoker lived there for a year.

Lacked up keep in room amenities- weak AC and spring beds. We ended up getting bed bugs and had to check out early. Do not remember. Expensive and not safe.

The property was in poor shape. Maybe if operators would spend more money on the property and not their cars, it would be better. The room smelled like stale smoke. Just needs a major overhaul. No amenities, heck barely any toilet paper in the room

The hotel has no working elevator. I was offered a room on the fourth floor with no working elevators. They wouldn’t even help you carry the luggage to the room. After me making much fuss. They finally offered me a room on the first floor which I took since I could not climb 4 floors of stairs. I had a king size bed. They provided 3 pillows that were very low in quality, no firmness whatsoever. The bedspread seemed liked it has never been changed or washed. Forget about deposit if you gave one. They do not return it. Think twice before getting the room. Does not feel safe.

The only thing that I can say is that the hotel was in a very shady area but there was a police officer on the premise during the night. There was a very moldy odor in the room, there were holes in the walls, there was no bath mat in the bathroom tub or anything to secure my footing (I slipped in the shower). The outside entrance to our room was locked and the area inside the room by the door was damp because water had leaked inside the room because it rained overnight. There was. no remote for the television the was no phone in the room, and the hotel lobby was constantly dark. I thought the hotel was closed. It was a good thing that I only stayed for one night. I will never go back there again

It was clean and no bugs was in the room and bathroom shower needs a little bit work to it Nothing to say

There are no telephones in the rooms. I did not feel very safe. At first glance the property seemed abandoned.

Literally nothing No one working there I couldn’t even check in

urine soaked walls, dried urine on the bathroom floor, dark weed smelling staircase (elevator is broken), dark hallways, door had been kicked in so it was dented with wood detached (the locked worked)

The shower was the only good thing the water was hot but the towels had stains in them the shower was clean the bathroom was clean and the room was clean but the towels was dirty had spots on them The building had none working stuff like the elevator and the lobby didn’t have chairs or coffee no water the building was dirty and the walls were dirty and they had plenty of rooms none occupied. The lobby didn’t have no furniture in the lobby nobody was at the desk.

Terrible toilet did not flush took three days for a plunger. I needed my fire arm because random people kept knocking on my door and bed bugs!!!?

Dr office The police look like it was being tore down. It had walls everywhere. Elevators did not work. I had to walk up and down four floors. I had just got done an operation. I couldn’t do all that straining and heavy movement and blood because I had an operation in my mouth. The machines didn’t work. There was no ice machine didn’t work like I said there was only that I know of one entrance up and down it was very very buns in second and third floor. I got up early one morning and they were bums sitting in the corner hiding on the floors, cause the doors were left open to come in and out. The only thing good was it was close to my office my doctors office that I had to go to decide that I would never go there again. I was nervous. I had to sleep with my gun next to my bed when I woke up and I saw those bums on different floors as I was going down the steps. I was so nervous.

For your own sake, do not even bother attempting to stay in hermitage. I pulled in late night for a quick sleep and head out early morning. On arrival bldg lobby was dimly lit. No cars in parking lot, a few homeless people outside. Clear to me that this hotel was a shelter of sorts. I left after no answer and suspicious looks from some of the residents. 3 cars in parking lot of a bldg allegedly close to sold out. Please hotels.com , do even a little bit of homework before offering this to your clients. We deserve at least that. I booked another hotel at twice the price and will happily eat the cost of hermitage. I love to save a dime, but if my adult daughters were there I’d ask for a “I’m ok” communique in am
