The HIE was a great experience! Everything was clean and very nice. The bed was super comfortable. I liked that there was no carpet on the floors - you could see how clean they were.

Property has been renovated, and the room was clean and fairly nice. Beds were comfortable. Elevators seem to be old - one was not working on check-in, and there were often lines to wait for elevators. Signs warned to limit elevator use to 5 passengers at once, so they must break down often. Biggest problem was thin walls and a large group of guests making noise from 3:30-6:30 AM. I could hear every word they said and all their loud laughter and slamming doors. The AC system can't be set to have the fan running continuously, so you can't shut out the noise. Finally, the hotel is charging $7/night for parking, even though it's a large lot that's shared with several other businesses.

Room was for a great price. However, couch, desk, and bathroom had a layer of dirt on it. It looked as if it were quickly wiped but not truly cleaned. One of the two elevators were broken so with the high volume of people that were staying there this weekend, it was quite annoying and time consuming to get to the 7th floor. The entrance of the building is very odd, it seems like it is the back of the building. The staff were nice and helpful but the building honestly needs to be knocked down. Don't be fooled by the pictures, it is a very old building that has been neglected and all they did was slap new appliances and a well lit mirror on top of it. If you dont care about these things then its a perfect place but I will not be back and I am willing to spend the extra money to stay somewhere much better.

Our shower did not work; front desk said she will let someone know which didn't help us. She also stated their was a water pressure issue in the city yet we were not informed at check in. Our shower water had no issues coming out of the faucet but little water would come out of the shower. Our tv had issues connecting so we had limited channels. The pool was closed. The air conditioning unit was very loud and kept waking our kids up. In the main lobby, the men's restroom had no soap or toilet paper at 9:00 in the morning. The two ladies working the breakfast did their best to keep food circulating as it was very busy. This hotel is not with the price.

First night, was in bed and heard a drip. It was coming from the blinds, I assume from the ac upstairs. Notified management and they brought towels and said it would be fixed the next day. One room available, a king, but we had 3 people so that wouldn't work. Was told would be comped but had to call booking. Called booking and they tried to contact hotel with no effect. The next day, we checked in with the front desk, and they said someone would be out to fix it. We left for the day and when we returned, nothing had been done. The afternoon shift had no idea that there was a problem so it had not been relayed or marked down in the system. Needless to say, we were never comped, room was never fixed, and we were never moved. The pool was not open The elevator didn't work for the last day so we had to wait 15 plus minutes to get down with our luggage

Was easy check

I was there for 4 days. My room was not cleaned the entire time. When I mentioned it to the front desk they said they would put me on the list. Never happened. I had to ask the housekeeping staff for fresh towels, toilet paper, and garbage pan liners. The elevators broke down, the TV did not work, and the pool was closed. Don’t stay here.

Parking was easy. Staff at front desk was not very friendly. Made no effort to be polite. Elevevators broke while we were there so everyone had to use the stairs. Felt really bad for elderly people trying to climb 6 floors of stairs. Pics on website are VERY OUTDATED! Room and bathroom were clean so that was a positive.

The parking lot is a run down strip mall, it did not feel safe, so much so that we opted to door dash dinner rather than go out. The next morning, we had a very good breakfast, which really surprised us. We noticed that one of the two elevators was not working. We went to check out at 9:30 am and no carts were available. We were on the 5th floor and one of us is handicapped. When we went to the elevator on 5 we waited and found neither elevator operating. We called to report it to the front desk. One of us walked down the 5 flights which takes you outside of the building. The front desk attendant was apologetic and went to try to reset the elevator. He was not successful by the time we left. He had two cleaning staff walk up the 5 flights and help to carry down our luggage. We checked out and asked for some sort of credit adjustment off our bill for the disappointing experience. He said he could not authorize that but gave me the business card of the general manager to call and discuss.

Quiet

Staff was very friendly and professional and everything was very clean and comfortable. My only issue was the pool was not open and we were not notified and this was a big part of why we booked here. We should have been notified that the pool was not open.

My experience at this Holiday Inn Express was extremely disappointing and reflected a complete lack of customer service, accountability, and operational competence. The biggest issue was that no one seemed empowered to help guests. After checkout, I was repeatedly told that only a manager could address billing concerns, despite the fact that front desk staff and night auditors have the ability to make folio adjustments. Guests should not have to leave, hoping that a hotel will eventually resolve problems in "good faith." Stating that you put a note on the reservation doesn't solve anything. The property itself was not well-maintained. The elevator was out of service daily during the week, the pool was closed for the duration of my stay, and the hotel appeared overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the volume of guests, with overflowing trash cans and common bathrooms in disarray. Common areas were trashy and messy, giving the impression that staffing levels were inadequate. Despite multiple checkouts, check-ins, and even a visible stack of no-show reservations at the front desk, the hotel would not accommodate the room type requested. It was difficult to understand how rooms were supposedly unavailable when evidence suggested otherwise. As a previous hotel manager, you make the guest in front of you happy and adjust the accommodations as the night progresses - you could even give a single traveler an "upgrade," thus making two solid good impressions. Duh! Billing issues only added to the frustration. The hotel refused to honor tax-exempt status, despite this being standard practice at hotels regardless of where the reservation was made. I was also charged for parking, even though my reservation was made before the parking fee was implemented, and the convention materials listed parking as free.

Great place, would go back there again

Don’t waste your time or money on this hotel. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the property clearly needs pest control. Very disappointing experience.
-
The breakfast was excellent; however, the noise level was loud during the day because of remodeling being done. The check-in person was not helpful. Parking was excellent.
-
Clean room; no coffee machine.
