Reviews

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good!
-
The beds were comfortable, and the walls were thin.
-
Cons: Poor housekeeping, only provided towels/cloths and barely emptied the trash for the four days we were in the room. Shower was dirty until we cleaned it. Some staff were not personable. One was smoking a cigarette in the front of the building. I had to wait for them to help me.

Hotel needs a lot of work!
-
Upon check in bathroom was dirty with a dirty shower curtain and staff unwilling to assist with the excuse of no knowledge of where the shower curtain was and housekeeping was off. Only stayed one night to get to the airport and checked out at 5am. The young man in the morning was polite and understanding. He was willing to assist and gave us the managers contact information. Will never stay at a holiday inn again

The location is great!
-
Nice, safe, and clean place convenient to Broad Street and downtown. Only a 10 minute drive to VCU Hospital.
-
The Rooms were OK, and bed was nice, but the cleaning service was supposed to come every other day, 1 room had to request more towels because cleaning service never came, the TV constantly would lose or gain channels. The website shows pool, but when I ask about it when I got there, was told that it is not available right now it is under maintenance, then I was told it has not been open for over 2 years. There was a game room with pool table and shuffle board, but the pool table smelled, and the shuffle board was missing pieces. There is a $7.00 a day vehicle parking fee, it was two of us in the same vehicle in two rooms and both were charged the $7.00 per day parking. The parking lot is open with no businesses around to take up spaces.

Everything was fine.
-
The hotel was okay, but we were disappointed that there was no pool. Also, the breakfast pictured includes omelets which were not available and pancakes (the machine was broken). Finally, we had to pay for parking in an area that seemed attached to a strip mall.
-
Dates hotel. The pool is closed. They do NOT have that information clearly listed when booking.
-
Other than that, it's a good place.
-
Hotel charges for parking despite being located in a suburban area with a large parking lot. Shower had sand and dirt on bottom of tub. AC in room was very noisy.
-
Very nice hotel with easy access to major highways.
-
AC sounds like a jet engine. Had to turn volume up 2 levels to hear when on. Walls paper thin. We could easily hear casual conversations in adjacent rooms. Vent in bathroom was a megaphone. New place but would not stay here again.
-
Clean,breakfast better than average.
-
Stayed a few times at this hotel and the rooms are clean. Check-in is easy and accommodating to our late arrival. Staff is friendly and the hotel is right across from a little shopping mall and restaurants. Would recommend.
-
Clean room. Good service
-
Room and facilites were clean and the staff was great - helpful and efficient. Unfortunately some of the breakfast stations were not available which was disappointing. It was ridiculous to be charged for parking when the parking was in a general shopping center parking lot. If they really want to make $7 extra they should just make the room rate higher, that was just annoying.
-
Quality was about what I expected for the price, though still a mostly disappointing experience. Floors in the room were dirty- I had to rinse my feet in the shower several times as my soles kept getting covered in dirt. Bed was comfortable, but unfortunately the walls are thin- could hear kids playing and items dropping in the room next door and someone having a lengthy phone conversation in the hallway well after the hotel’s posted quiet hours. Breakfast was nothing special and slow to get restocked, but at least it was a convenient option.
