Hampton Inn Richmond - South

This hotel is somewhat neglected.

The first hotel I ever been to where you have to pay for parking on their own property. It was definitely the most talked about complaint from the the many guests I talked to over the 3 days. The nerve to charge 10 dollars a day for parking for an over priced 3 star hotel. SHAME ON HILTON!!!!

Clean and organized Too close to the highway and a lot of traffic noise. Also additional fees for parking were added. You are required to pay to park here.

Booked a room that said it slept 5. There were two queen beds. No sofabed and they could not supply a rollaway. One person had to sleep on the floor. The desk didn't seem to care. Very unprofessional.

This was a very disappointing stay. The property was very dirty, and it did not seem to be cleaned properly. The room was not well maintained, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here.

Breakfast had waffles, which I like. My room was clean and simple, which is all I needed for this evening. It was exactly what I expected, per the online description and reviews. My kids room had not been cleaned. It had items remaining from the prior people. The hotel overall seemed very humid, especially in the hallways. To their credit, the front desk did relocate the kids to a clean room, without issue.

The location was close to the event my family came for. The first room we were given had to entry door propped open and a foul smell in the room. The next room we were given had a queen size bed that wasn’t bolted to the wall so the bed moved around. The mattress had a dip in the middle. The bathroom tub needed caulking and the bathroom wall paper was lifting and the bathroom floor was sticky.

Carpets were sticky feeling/had stains, I could see parts of the dry wall coming off in the hall window after rain. None of the vending machines were filled (went to each floor to check). Fire alarm went off 4 times in one day, two of them happened after 11pm. Staff was willing to comp one night because of it but I have to go through Expedia to get it.

The Breakfast was very good, the location was great for what we need, Only surprise was that we had to pay for parking Mattress needed replaced

Inner curtain had a 4 foot vertical rip in it. Telephone cord between phone and dial would not stay physically connected. Tv remote needed batteries. Shower liquid container empty. Breakfast was mostly all carbs except for fresh apples and oranges. Chafing dish did not keep food even warm. It is a regular parking lot around the hotel yet they charge $7.00. Will not stay here again.

no toaster at the breakfast, ask why and tell me it was broken , WoW no spare one No orange juice no milk ,

Breakfast was not good no toaster available at all not much variety and eggs were horrible

Great customer service Pool area felt like a sauna all day. There is no air circulating

The size of room is so generous and the pool is good. But the smell in the room wasn’t from human being can bear.

I didn't like the fact that they charged me $8 for parking, when I 'm paying customer
