Motel 6 Sandston, VA - Richmond, Va

Very nice for a Motel 6, I was impressed and they had a nice pool

The bathroom was dirty, with lots of buildup in the corners. There were basically no amenities, except a couple bars of soap. The blankets on the bed were dingy, and the beds themselves had trim pieces that were coming off. In general, the area was really noisy with customers yelling, and screaming, and it really wasn’t a very pleasant stay.

Bad

Had to wait almost an hour for the room to be clean. Check in was 3pm and arrived around 5:30pm. Still had to wait. Room had stuff in it floor. Staff was nice about the wait, wasn't her fault. It was just ridiculous.

Nothing Very sketchy drugs and alcohol everywhere

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The beds were clean, the room felt secure, and the woman who checked us in was very pleasant and welcoming. There were a couple of things that could be improved. We did not have any shampoo, and there were not enough towels. We were also in a smoking room, which I would not choose again. The smoke smell was very strong and seemed like it had been there for a long time. Other than those issues, the stay was comfortable, and we appreciated the clean beds and friendly service.

Exceptional

It wasn't to far from VCU hospital.. The cost and the hotel doors needs repairs ,bed frames need replacement and towels need to be replaced with new ones.

Staff was wonderful. Otherwise the room smelled terrible, the floor was not clean. There was a tick on the wall, the tenants were very intimidating including highly racist. We did not stay the night.

Big humidity odor in the room, washroom was disgusting and mirror in end of life... Pool was close by 8... Amd no charging station for EV...

Cheap

Got in past midnight in RIC. Had to still drive 1+ HR, so decided to book this quick stay instead. To be honest I almost just drove home and forgo my night stay. It was cheap enough I wouldn't have felt too bad. I have stayed in plenty of places like these especially with the dogs, and as long as you know what you are getting yourself into it is a fine stay, low traffic area.

The experience was convenient. It was holes in the sheet none of the plugs in my rooms work and then I had my room switched and no plugs were in the second room. The shower leaked. It was just not what I expected.

Small room but perfect for our 1 night. Comfortable beds, strong AC, good showers. Only downside was the hallway lights were on all night and very bright and the blinds did not cover the window edges, it looked like daylight coming though and lighting up the room just as much as a sunny day.

I needed a basic & reasonably priced accommodation that was close to the airport for a morning flight. This was just that. A comfortable bed, a desk area to work at, a table/chair to eat & a place to shower. I was hoping to take a bath but it was only a standing shower, no biggie.
