La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rockford

Very friendly helpful staff

The internet was not working the entire stay, we had to switch rooms the air was not working, the staff was asked several times to refresh our room

Its a low class la quinta smells pretty bad

Friendly staff. Room was clean. Liked the suite setup, having the bed room separated from the living quarters. Typical continental breakfast.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Outdoor area was nice and like that their were open windows in pool area. Small bathroom, not enough hooks to hang towels. Overpowering deodorizer smell in the hallway - makes you think 'what are they trying to cover up?'; Separate key needed for pool and not told at checkin. Elevator not close enough to lobby. Breakfast was very mediocre.

Location was good. Staff was friendly. Dated. Lack of care for details (sloppy paint job, headboard looked like it had been repeatedly stabbed, shower wouldn't drain properly, couldn't open door when couch was pulled out). Breakfast had few items and ran out quick - didnt plan for a hotel that was booked full it seemed.

Elevator are dirty and not maintaining the cleanliness. Continental breakfast was good .. need some fruits maybe. Shower head was very low and not strong enough. Staff was very friendly . Smells someone smoking weeds .

Great location (next to shopping, gas stations, restaurants, airport) pool, hot breakfast, updated spaces, rooms were definitely updated recently! There were some areas that could be improved in the rooms, but you can tell they really worked hard on upgrading. I was nervous about a new area and safety, but they had so many lights around the property. I actually felt safe in the evening. Smaller breakfast (but they had protein items like sausage and eggs) needing a pool key was weird but it all worked out fine.

Only complaint & it's a big one is that our non smoking room smelled like smoke.

Room was great for my mom who has mobility issues. The woman in the morning was very helpful and nice when I booked the same room for the next week. When I came back we weren't room we were supposed to be, she quickly made sure she changed the booking. The first room we were in had a broken toilet. We had already unpacked but had to move to another room because there was no one there to fix it. That wasn't the best considering my mom has mobility issues. But we ended up being moved to the first floor which was much better for her.

Our room was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel had many guests, but it was wonderfully quiet.

I always stay at La Quinta at Rockford and I love it except for the breakfast. It's been always egg and sausage. Is there anything else that the hotel can offer?
