Best Western Premier Rockville Hotel & Suites

When we got in our room, the thermostat in the bedroom did not work. We were able to get a gentleman to look at it but it still did not work. It finally started working in the evening of our second night of our two night stay. We had no television channels while we stayed there and the television in the living room would not even turn on. The rooms beside us were pretty noisy the first night with kids. One of the elevators was being worked on while we were staying the two nights.

Proximity to Rio A man was lying passed out on the ground outside of the hotel. As a medical professional, I was driven to make sure he was breathing and did not need CPR. The young girl manager who was outside would not approach him or allow anyone to approach him. She said it made her hair stand on end and wait for paramedics. She was petrified. When a human is unconscious or looks like they need assistance, someone should assist. Secondly, got our room late and went to take a shower, there was a wadded up used washcloth still in the shower with hair all over the shower floor. Someone came to clean- but only removed the used towel and left the half used shower her in there- hair still there. Shower was not wet like it had been cleaned. They came back and cleansed the 3rd time. Will not stay here again.

Bathrooms could really use fans...hard to have more than one person shower. Elevators were run down. Staff was less than helpful and seemed uninterested.

We've stayed here several times without issues. Friendly and responsive staff. But the cracks are showing (literally in the elevator). Also there was a persistent, nauseating plumbing/bathroom smell. Not improved with housekeeping. We kept the bathroom door shut at all times. Sad to see this place go downhill. Can't even expect regular turndown service anymore.

Parking lot was dark in a very areas and could use more lighting. Affordable price for a night stay. We did not use any of the amentities.

The staff is always nice. The restaurant has good food, but the bar is not up and running due to non-licensure.

One of the things that I didn’t like about the facility was the fact that someone was smoking in the area and I don’t smoke and my son is asthmatic so we had to endure a smoke smell. It smelled like someone was smoking weed and very uncomfortable I actually called and complained. The property was actually fine. The location was great. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament, which was only 15 minutes away. I did like the fact that we were close for the price. It wasn’t bad, but I feel like some of the amenities inside of the room could have been better as far as our pullout couch it was broken so we ended up having to get a rollaway bed that the staff eventually bought to us after we figured out it was broken.

There were no working ice machines, the gym was missing multiple free weights, the elevators sounded like they were going to break down any second, and overall the hotel is in rough shape. Our room was moderately cleaned but leaked water when it rained. I would not put this at the top of my list for places to stay.

The coffee maker in the room wasn’t cleaned. There was a used coffee pod in and the it was all stained inside.The mattress wasn’t very comfortable either - you could feel the springs.
