Homewood Suites by Hilton Rockville-Gaithersburg

The staff are great. I left my laptop in the room after I had checked out and they went, retrieved it and held it for me at the front desk.

After we checked in everyone was excited to go in the pool and hot tub. To our disappointment the hot tub was closed. The pool water was freezing cold. The next day both pool and hot tub were closed. We paid extra essentially for amenities and to not have this one was a major disappointment.

The property if phenomenal! Home Wood suits is a really good place to spend a few nights at any time. The staff is very friendly, the property is clean, the buffet breakfast is very good. The public area on the first floor is really nice. Laundry room is also well kept. The rooms are clean, well maintained, all the amenities in the room work as intended. My room came with a working kitchen equipped with all the kitchen utensils needed to cook, and eat; in addition there is a full refrigerator with lots of space in it. Lots of parking space, yet it can get fill up fast. The hallway carpet on the second floor needs some cleaning. The carpet in my room was very clean. The property exterior is well maintained, clean and easy to walk. The property access is really good, route 70 is close by. I will most definitely come back here.

Traveling with my family of seven, we booked a two room suite. The suite was very comfortable: 2 Queen, 1 King, pull out couch, two rooms. This is the best hotel we have stayed at in all our travels. Very good price too. Homewood suites is definitely in our plans for future stays. Great pool, hot tub, and work out room. Breakfast was definitely a step up from other hotels.

The room was clean and the kitchen was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the area was easy to get around. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately, there was a dog barking for most of the day, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy our stay. When we mentioned the issue to the woman at the front desk, we were told that the hotel is pet-friendly and that we needed to accept it. While I understand that pets are welcome, I don’t think guests should be expected to tolerate excessive barking for hours without any attempt to address the situation. If you don’t mind the possibility of noise from pets, this may still be a good option. However, if you’re looking for a quiet stay, it’s something to keep in mind.

One of my favorite places to stay. Big rooms, great breakfast, and close to everything. Staff is great. Stayed here multiple times and love it.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable The room felt damp overall, there were strands of hair on the shower walls, I woke up to itchy marks near my neck and ears. The air condition control panel cover came right off, you could tell it was an old unit, both bedroom and common area. The room felt mildly clean instead of throughly clean. For the price of almost $300 it should’ve felt better in regards to air quality. I got the location for my kids really, I could sleep in a hole when traveling as long as there aren’t bugs and it doesn’t smell awful. But when we travel I like them to have a pleasant experience.

I booked a 3-night stay, but unexpectedly I had to cut the trip short due to a family emergency. I checked out at 3pm on my second day. My room had yet to be cleaned at any point during those two days - I noticed the cleaning staff heading over after I dropped off my room cards and let them know I needed to leave a day early due to my personal situation. I only point that out because I received zero service over the 2 days I was in the room - if the room had been cleaned, it would be been ready for a subsequent guest at 3pm when I had to leave. Subsequent to leaving my hotel (on my flight home), I contacted the hotel to inquire about a partial refund considering I was not staying the 3rd night, couple with the fact that I was also eating the costs of changing my flight to an earlier (and more expensive flight) and turning my rental car in a day early. I realize I didn't leave by the noon checkout time, but I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of flexibility or effort to accommodate my request in any way. I am a rewards member with another reservation at the same chain of hotel in less than two weeks.

Room was clean and a great size for our family. Breakfast was okay as I have had better options at Homewood Suites elsewhere. The fire alarm went off twice while we were there due to a sensitive sensor with the pool. The hot tub was warm and was not hot nor had bubbles. The pool was a really good size and luckily had a patio to open the door because it was very hot/humid and very loud. The staff was very friendly. I would go back if we are going to be in the area again.

I was given 2 parking passes and was not notified that it was $10 a day per vehicle for parking so I had a $20 charge the following day. That was not mentioned anywhere.

Breakfast was very good.
