SpringHill Suites by Marriott Detroit Metro Airport Romulus

Everything was clean but the pool. We tried to go for a swim and the water was green with white bubbles. I alerted the front desk and they said no one was available to clean the pool. They shut the pool down but this was something my family was looking forward to.

It does not seal correctly

The design of the doors leading into the bathroom areas are poor. The light shines through when you are trying to sleep.

Everything during my stay was great. The breakfast was extremely limited. There was only oatmilk for coffee and cereal.

Great stay awesome place if you have to fly out or just hang out

I wanted to bring a few concerns about our room to your attention. Upon arrival this evening around 10:30pm or so, and during our stay, we noticed mold present in the bathroom, a brown stain on one of the towels provided, and the bathroom door appears to be off its track and will not properly latch closed. The kids wanted to swim in the morning too, but the pool is extremely cloudy so they will not be swimming.

Location, staff, and the room was amazing….. The pool hot tub area very small……

We had a quick stay after landing in Detroit at midnight and the hotel was a perfect place to crash! The beds were super comfortable and having two queens and a sleeper sofa was amazing with the kids, everyone had plenty of space! The breakfast was great, typical for a hotel and the gym and pool were handy. Overall it was great!

Clean Breakfast

Modern facility The staff seemed indifferent to our needs. We stayed 2 nights so we could attend a wedding. I went to the front desk before leaving for the day and asked for full housekeeping before we returned and she wrote it down and said it would be taken care of. When we returned at around four pm not only did our key cards not work but the room had not been serviced. I went to the front desk and the clerk told me she didn’t know why it hadn’t been cleaned. She called the housekeeping manager who didn’t answer and didn’t respond to her messages. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there wasn’t any there. I sat in the lobby and waited for a response and finally asked if we could at least get clean towels. I understand that mistakes happen but what bothered me the most was the indifference to our situation. After a long day driving to the wedding location and back we were expecting to be able to relax and enjoy the evening. No apologies or urgency, just that’s the way it is.

The property was good. Close to the airport for our early flight. The room had a musty smell. Unfortunately the hallway smelled like weed. Someone was having fun!
